I just got my first facebook spam, and I'm not amused.

Who else has this happened to?

I just got a wall post about some sort of ring tones, with a link. When I went to the girl's profile, her whole newsfeed was full of links to comments on people's walls, which all turned out to be the exact same thing. She said she didn't do it, so I don't really know how it happens.

If Im not mistaken, its like myspace tracker links. You get a comment, go to the site, and all of a sudden the site has your information. They can get information about your facebook account (email and password) or myspace or whatever. They log into your account and post those stupid things. A ton of my friends on myspace are stupid enough to fall for those links. Then sure enough, you see stupid bulletins being posted by someone on their account.

I don't really use myspace, so I never bothered to find out how those things work. I guess that makes sense, though; that girl probably isn't bright enough to know not to click a link like that. What a f**king waste.

It doesn't help that these are coming from people I haven't seen in years because they moved away.

Agreed. I started telling the repeat offenders that I'd delete them if they didn't clean their act up. hammer.gif

AND, I've actually follow through.

I hate them THAT much.

While we're on the topic of facebook (or at least I am), look at this shit.

http://www.facebook.com/FacebookPreviews

A combination of the wall and newsfeed? FUCK NO BITCH.
It seems that facebook cannot miss an opportunity to compromise our privacy. Not to mention that it'd be confusing as f**k.

I've never gotten facebook spam. I've never even seen it on anyones. I only have like 104 friends though.
App invites bug me, but I've been getting less and less. It's pretty sweet.
