Hiding the left column, Oh me, oh my. Options

SO. I've been trying to do this since 3am. Isn't that fun?

Anywho. I can hide everything in the left column, but I can't seem to figure out how to collapse the table! Anyone have any ideas on how this can be done? I'm planning on only having the right column, except with the left column table not collapsing, theres all this dead space!

Ah, well when I use the stated code, it leaves a big blank area.(In FF, haven't checked IE) I want to get rid of that blank area. Make sense?

i see. (the collapsing works for both FF and IE.) anyways, can i have a link to your myspace or a screenshot? and codes? cause when you say get rid of, i need to know if there's anything in the way if you have a layout or something like that.

Sorry for not having this stuff right off the bat, I sort of don't have a personal internet connection atm, and the one I use is VERY slow. ^^ See how after hiding Interests, contact box, basic details and what not, how theres that big space to the left? (Mind you, I want to keep the white background, just not the extra space.)

That is totally my bad. I figured out how to do what I had wanted to do. It's silly really. I used this code:

to make it straight up and down, and then made sure the left column stuff was hidden.
