what's your favorite effects (they can be plug-ins i guess) to use on graphics in Photoshop or whatever you use? they can be simple things such as opacity, blend modes, or more advanced things like blur effects and such. whatever floats your boat.
mine would be, without a doubt, the noise filter. it can create so many things and different feelings. :] |

I used to work with opacity a lot. Now I work more with Hue/Saturation, Brightness/Color Balance

I've been using Selective Color a LOT lately. I just love the way you can mess around with the colors.

I've been getting into adjustment layers, too. It hasn't been until recently that I found out about smart objects/filters. -_-' So I plan to get more used to that now.
I also like the feather tool.  Lol.

The screen layer style has been my latest guinea pig. :D
I tend to get carried away with using just one layer style. When I first started, it was overlay 'cause I liked everything bright and shiny. Then it became soft light. Now I just kind of use all of them. But the screen one has proven a lot more interesting lately, although I've yet to actually make anything worth saving. |
