Hey, I'm iheartgraystripe aka Tally-wa. I am completely new to graphic making and have not made anything yet because I don't understand anything. I use the new version of GIMP. If possible please help this helpless newb. Thanks for everything and anything you offer.

Hi! I'm new too, except I've made several graphics. I'm just not good with coding at all...I make my own myspace layouts, but the codes are simple and pathetic.
 I don't even hardly know what GIMP is. I use photoshop for everything. =/ sorry! |

That's no problem. I just don't understand even the basics. My main question is, how do you add fonts? The defaults are trash, in my opinion.

Add fonts to what? o.O There's lots of ways to do everything. Xanga, myspace, livejournal...they all have their different ways of allowing users to change things. Even cB has something different. (I'm still trying to figure things out
)

You can "add" fonts by downloading the TFF file off a website such as dafont.com, extract the file into what is normally C:\Windows\Fonts, open the folder to install the font, and it should automatically show up in GIMP and your computer system. This should also be moved to the Resource Center. |
