You know what they say, if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.

I've been a little unsatisfied with my last few haircuts. The barbershop on campus spends like one minute shaving your head shorter. The hair salon just off campus is a lot better, but they cost twice as much and the girl who cuts my hair ends up cutting my hair a little shorter than I ask her to in some places.

Therefore, my questions to you guys are:

1) How do I cut my own hair?
2) What do I buy?
3) For thinning, razor of thinning shears?
4) Is this a bad idea?

I got annoyed too, my friend cut my hair last week. If it turned out bad it was my own friggen fault, but it didnt. Get your friends to cut your hair, but make sure they have some sort of training and you know what you want.

My former roommate is a barber. But he's black so he only knows how to do black hairstyles. And I don't want a black hairstyle.

I'm not afraid of mistakes. I always cut my hair short for the summer anyway. So if there is a mistake, it won't be there for long.

Unless I draw blood, which would be bad.

I can't answer your last three questions, but...

1) How do I cut my own hair?

Carefully. Very carefully.
