That has ALWAYS been my favorite. I too prefer his sketches. I've always thought that Mona Lisa was overrated. (No offense to our Mona XD)

Da Vinci may have been a gay pedophile.

Uh, I guess I like the Mona Lisa, just 'cause it's stirred up so much discussion among the art community. Though, I think it can also be overrated, and his other work tends to be overlooked.

Just an amazing and idiotic (as in, envy inducing) tidbit about Da Vinci:

The man use to sketch and write at the same time. The amazing thing - he wrote backwards and upside down. His sketches are amazing, and his notes are lucid, well-penned, and interesting. How the f**k?!

Are you at all being serious in that statement? Do you truely believe that the Mona Lisa, considered one of the greatest works of art, is by the crappy little artist Van Gogh? It's Di Vinci, buddy.

In addition to the techical/anatomical sketches I really like da vinci's sketches of other women.

[fun fact: the second one is the drawing that they used as the basis of the painting of Drew Barrymore in Ever After]

I personally prefer these sketches/paintings to the Mona Lisa

This is a beautiful drawing.

The Mona Lisa is overrated. Seeing it person was completely lame. I was more attracted to the surrounding paintings filled with hot naked men.
