how have you/would you deal with the death of a close family member??

I went back to work the next day, took no bereavement leave, buried myself in my work then later went into a serious depression, quit my job, disconnected myself from my family, and was really drunk, all the time.

I'm sorry to hear that, Trish
 It must have been a very tough time for you.Thankfully, none of my immediate family have passed on and so I haven't any experience with grief. I'm not sure how I'd take it other than to mourn and move on; life goes on. |

I don't know how I'd react to such a loss. I'd be devastated, for sure.
