I really would like to know how everyone likes the new organization.

What you like? Thoughts? Suggestions? Criticisms? Go for it!

It's definitely much more organized, but I'm having trouble getting to some places because I'm used to the old Forum format. It's great though, but it'll have to be some time to get used to it. thumbsup.gif

you know, maybe all of those like myspace of the month, motm topics and stuff like that should be all together in the vip lounge. sometimes i have a hard time finding them that i have to do a search. other than that, it's very organized. outstanding job

VIP lounge is for random chat, not to mention only official members can get it in. Putting that stuff there it wouldn't really fit. Not sure if you know this but, there is this thread. Which allows for all the current contest threads to be linked. (:

It's pretty much way more organized that before. I like it. I just will take a while getting used to it. And I thought moving the forums from the left side to the center was hard. wacko.gif

^ Sweet. I'm glad you like it.

Entertainment -

General Entertainment is for the bastard topics, topics that are about celebrities but just don't have a specific home (ie Donald Trump or Paris Hilton).

Hollywood is simply for gossip. Think "E-News" but for cB. The two are pretty related though.

News can actually fall under a couple categories. I think Lifestyles and Interests are possibilities. That's one forum that I think is a little tricky.

This is why I wanted this thread. =)

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, by the way (in case I forget to thank you guys later).

I really think News deserves more attention (?) kind of like Debate. I mean, the world is kind of important. laugh.gif But I do agree, it is tricky to place it somewhere

It's possible for it to be its own forum (like Debate). Lets wait for some more feedback on it.

My gut reaction though is to do like what was done with Debate. News should get more traffic and more discussion and perhaps that is a good way to give it the exposure it deserves.

Actually, Debate and News can go hand-in-hand. Much of what is debated has to do with current events o_0 so that's something to consider.

I can't see it ever becoming more popular than Debate or any of the other subcategories. Just because it's out there does not guarantee activity or popularity.

Now they don't, but I'm partially responsible for the inception of that forum. For a good month, myself and a few other members, began posting news stories in The Lounge. I read the news section.

And what I am trying to say is that I just read the Community Center Reorganization thread backstage, and as of now, cutting more things up will make the forums more cluttered. Especially if the forum isn't even popular. Once it's gained its popularity, then I see reason for it to be its own section.

I didn't mind them in the Lounge, but a lot of people felt that it was too cluttered. I can see it from this perspective as well.

Also, it was confusing seeing that something new was posted in the Lounge, when really, it was posted in the Sandbox which moves much faster.
