i used to think it was amusing when people end up calling me 'cause of a wrong number. then i started getting weird phone calls from people trying to find their lost daughter/sister/whatever.

this one lady left a bitch rant on my voicemail. my voicemail message is my bf saying, "queen's too busy to answer the phone right now. she's even got me doing her voicemail."

so the lady left, "what the f**k you talkin' 'bout 'too busy?!' bitch you better get my sister on the phone. i will hunt you down. i will find out who the f**k you are 'cause you ain't got no right no keep my sister away from her family. there are people here who care for her and love her..." ETC ETC ETC

let's just say it continues on for another min and a half? i left that person a text saying she was wasting her breath 'cause she got the wrong number, and to tell all those other people looking for "janice" that i'm not janice.

anyway, what bothers me, is not that i got the message. but the fact that they still think i'm "janice" even though on my voicemail, it clearly says "queen". so i don't know if they're deaf or just assuming i'm using "queen" as a title, but the whole thing just irks me nonetheless.

another example would be on AIM, i keep getting messages for a "colette". i finally found out that this colette girl's friends kept mistaking me for her 'cause her sn is similar to mine (she has a 0 instead of the letter o). again, i don't mind if it was just a simple typo, but these people had "colette's" sn on their buddy lists, and they can't comprehend the difference between a f**king 0 and an o?!

...so anyway, share your stories ;o

I hate wrong numbers. My friend and I were riding home on the bus a couple of years ago and she got a call. She said it sounded like some little girl was speaking Spanish. So she called the number back and a man answered. He completely denied that anyone had called her number.

She also used to get these phone calls and whoever was calling her played creepy music and said weird things. Well they called one day, she played weird music back to them and they never did it again laugh.gif

I did get a call once at like 1 in the morning. I didn't answer but if I had woken up I swear... And it had to of been some random prank call because I called the number back and the voice mail had her name. I had never heard of her before.

After getting my new numbers, I get the most random voicemails in different languages. I had 5 in my inbox one time with the same lady speaking in Spanish. pinch.gif I hate it when that happens.

There was this girl who used to have a similar SN to me, (She's so original, she copied it and changed one tiny detail) and she would go and IM her teacher. Now this teacher was pretty cool and all and he'd talk with all his students online. I guess he knew what mine, was too. Anyways, so one day, the girl with the similar SN IMs him and bothers the hell out of him. She does it for like, a month until he decided to block her. I had a different teacher, but all my friends who had him would be telling me that he's kept saying crap about me and giving me a bad rep. I obviously minded because I was.. 12. It pissed me off that the girl didn't want to say it was her. Every time I go back to the school, the teacher dogs me and acts as if I'm some idiot who doesn't know when to shut up. stubborn.gif

Oh, and this isn't really the same thing, but since my AIM windows are grouped in the specific categories, I always end up saying really weird things to the wrong people. It's like I'm talking to someone in one group and I have another group minimized, and somebody from the minimized group IMs me and I IM the first person in that group. I hate that. I've embarrassed myself SO MANY TIMES. D:

Damn, this is possibly the longest post I've written in a while..

I don't really hate it but I find it really funny when they go, "What? I'm pretty sure this was the number."

I like getting the messages and emails of people talking about me. The expression on peoples faces, and the embarassment that they have, is priceless.

I've had some woman leave messages on my cell, claiming that i owe her money and she needs money to pay her rent. Apparently, she thought i was her daughter...

But after a while, she stopped calling... thankfully.

I find it funny but annoying all at the same time especially if people keep calling you even though you told them that it was the wrong phone number.

Same for me too. I get wrong numbers but I tell them they have the wrong number and they never call again. I had times when I myself gotten the wrong number. I was trying to call a friend around the corner and ended up calling someone from another country.

Girl: So this isn't Mike?

Girl: uhh, yea
Me: Under Mike Anderson?
Girl: No, it was listed under Leon and Karen Saunders
Me: Then why the hell are you looking for Mike Anderson?

I rarely receive messages like that since my family doesn't use the house phone anymore. I've gotten some weird IMs, though...

I got the weirdest, incomprehensible text messages and voicemails. The voicemails were about some law firm, like someone got in an accident and needs legal help... And the text messages were in what appeared to be Spanish but I got it translated and some of the words didn't even make sense/existed.

This one time these two guys, I guess, called me and they were like "HEYYY IS THIS [insert some girl's name]?" And I said no. Then they were like "HEYYYYY BABY COME ON THIS IS ____! DON'T YOU REMEMBER US? ___ AND ___?" (whatever their names were). Eh yeah. That just scared teh crap out of me 'cause they sounded so gang like. O_O.

And yeah I get random IMs sometimes. I hate it especially when they KEEP INSISTING THEY'RE TALKING TO THE RIGHT PERSON.

Oh, I just remembered. My parent's house number is a digit off a doctor's office. I always tell people they have cancer. zipped.gif One time, my mom was bored so she decided to educate a guy about menstruation.

I woke up to a phone call around 2 AM and a lady named "Cindy" asked for "Harold Weatherford". And I replied with "Wrong number." But she was very persistent and kept saying "But he gave me his number at IHOP." I finally convinced her that my name is "Eva" and I have never met anyone named Harold.

I feel bad, maybe it was just a mistake, or maybe she got rejected.

There's a number that like, Tom posted on MySpace. It was the Rejection Number or something like that. So when some guy calls it, they'll hear a rejection message. Which I actually find funny.

It sounds urgent. It probably isn't.

I have a friend who's mom speaks Laos and she was like screaming at her daughter and I'm like "Hey, OMG, what happened?" And she replied "Nothing, she just asked what time I was coming home."

It did NOT sound like she was asking what time her daughter will be arriving home.
