I don't get where that came from. My high school band director would say that all the time to ridicule the schedules some students had.

Undeclared but following a Human Physiology/PreMed track. I might double major in something so I have a back up when I don't get into Med school, which is very very likely.

My Major is Marketing & Secondary Education (Social Science/English)...I have education as a back-up plan because while I'm working on my MBA I can teach & be able to provide for myself once I graduate college until I secure a job in the corporate world...so 43,000 at age 21 would be a decent start for me while I finish grad school

But not always if you intend to graduate on time. I'm sticking with poli sci at this point because it's already too late for it to make any sense to switch.

oh. well i didn't decide i wanted to do it until my senior year, second semester. i was a late bloomer. i wasn't even thinking about college until then because i just wanted to be done with high school. i had started baking that year, just for fun and i liked it. i decided to start with culinary arts instead of baking and pastries because i figured it would be a good place to start.

That's pretty much it. My mom and sister are convinced that sticking to a 'normal' business career would keep the money coming in, but that a career in psychology or education is just too risky. In order to become a respectable psychologist/psychiatrist/therapist, I'd have to get a PhD. As for education, teachers start off as TOCs (for a really really long time) who get paid shit, and newer teachers get laid off all the time. It's a question of stability.

i'm double majoring in philosophy & english literature.
i want to finish my undergraduate work & then possibly look for some film studies work or some film studies schooling. if i can't find anything to do in film, i'll continue my education in english/philosophy. going for a ph.d. so i can teach university.

essentially, my areas of study reflect my personal interests. i watch a lot of movies, i enjoy reading, & i study philosophy for leisure.

i'm living off of grants, scholarships, & financial aid - a bunch of tuition run-over.
i'm considering employment, but jobs are psychic death. so, i'll probably avoid getting another job for as long as i possibly can. you know, until i can actually do work that i like.

i thrift all of my clothes, bum half of my food. most of my expenses are attributed to diner food & developing film. i want shit, but i also value my free time... until i need shit, i don't think i'll be investing in the active sale of my soul (for menial labor).

hell, i still have over a grand in the bank & i'm looking into buying stock/bonds.

i live @ home. i don't have any intentions to move out until i start my graduate studies.
living @ home makes living without a paycheck a lot easier. but, i really don't get much but internet, some food, & shelter. but, really, that's a lot, & mostly all i need.

i'm in my freshman year, getting good grades.
i don't really care about finding "good" work. i want to teach in the university, & i'm fairly confident that i'll be able to accomplish that. if i can't, i have no idea what i'll do, but... honestly, i'm not terribly concerned. thanks for the warning though.
