The Weekend Thread, Madness. Options

In order to even have something to share in this lovely online community, we all need to live some sort of "normal" life. Whether you're a bookworm that doesn't get out much, or you're a constant party goer, you're going to see/experience something on the weekend worth talking about. And even if you don't think its worth talking about, I'm sure someone here may find it to be interesting.

Granted, its currently Saturday in Japan, so my weekend is still just beginning (and I have Monday and Tuesday off), but this may cause for a story covering each night of the weekend.

I'll get it craccalatin' after I get a feel for the thread's success. So far, this weekend is bananas.

it's just a little bit into saturday, and i'm dropping off my brother at the airport in a couple hours. i'll be practicing until 10am, which is when i head off to my cello lesson... then i'm off to meet with my accompanist until i begin working at 5pm. i get off work around 11pm on saturdays.

sunday is church, then off to see the accompanist with my mister. mister and i will probably hang around carrollton for a couple hours, then come back to plano for dinner and rehearsing.

monday we have no school, so i'm meeting up with groups for ap us history and physics to work on projects.

my weekends are always clogged.

This weekend I'm probably gonna just get drunk for the hell of it, since I haven't done it in so long.

My friend wants to go clubbing (<-- is that how you spell that?) but I said no, because..idk..it's not my thing, and I used to be good friends with some girl who dated the son of the club owner, so it'd be weird.

Friday night felt like my birthday. I felt as though I was obligated to celebrate after waking up at 0400, running 3 miles and working until 1730. Not to mention that this weekend is the Marine Corps' observance of Dr. King's holiday, so I had no reason to view this as another short weekend.

Every night starts with a trip to Starbucks on Kokusai-dori. "Kokes" is the main street in downtown Naha with the bulk of the clubs, bars, gift shops, American franchises and malls, so its essential for any party goer in Okinawa. After people watching for a little, checking out the gorgeous women that passed by, my road dog Chris, and myself, decided to go bar hopping.

Nothing too crazy; a shot here, a shot there, some Awamori and chainsmoking and we were well on our way to a wild night. We stopped in a bar where my friend Ayuri works. She's a down ass bitch. After showing off the new SB Dunks to her and talking about Lupe Fiasco's new album, she kicked my ass in darts. The niggas showed up, and this smoky little darts bar, on the second floor of a small building in a discreet alley of the Kokes, became a potential location for the next Jeezy video.

At this point, its only 2200, Ami (the girlfriend/ex-girlfriend) dropped me an email and let me know that she wanted to meet up tonight. Well aware that Chris is with me, I began thinking of other things to do, until it hit me; we could have Ami be our official translator so Chris could have a skuzzy little skeezer to keep him warm! Outstanding. I should have immediately put the plan into effect, but the alcohol began to creep up on me, and I had a genius idea to go play Initial D... just so we could laugh about drunk driving.

(FYI: I was almost killed by a drunk driver, its no laughing matter)

Ami showed up, dressed gully as shit. It was a relief because I didn't have the pea-coat on with the Ferragamo loafers and all that fancy shit. Track jacket, denim and SB Dunks. Her attire was quite similar. Chris then told Ami about the plan to find him a 'pun-pun-rider' for the night and all three of us set out on a quest to find the sluttiest looking broads walking the street. No luck, but a lot of good laughs.

Eventually, we went to a liquor store, grabbed a couple six-packs of Orion and continued our drunken stupidity, as we posted up in front of a boarded up club. It didn't take long for Chris to start harassing people, Ami to start insulting Chris, and me to begin tagging the hell out of the walls. The cops even drove by, waved and politely said, "good evening." They were nice gents.

After changing up my handstyle a few times, and frustrated at the fact that I was almost out of spraypaint, the trio moved the party elsewhere. From here, it gets a little hazy. A hypebeast-looking character wearing his black, plastic framed glasses with no lenses, and a pair of Greedy Genius kicks invited us to an underground club for a Drum N' Bass party. I was too drunk to enjoy it. Chris found a target and threw up the deuces. Somehow, Ami and I ended up at a nasty little love hotel.

I don't remember anything else.

Went ice skating, then went to the mall because he needed a scarf then just went back to his place to relax and whatnot. Tomorrow I work all day, then going out with him and some other friends probably, don't know exactly whats going on yet, and then working again all day Sunday then doing homework.

But hey, this semester I have 4 day long weekends every week because I got both Mondays & Fridays off from classes.

Nothing much has happen. Weekends are usually the same thing. Saturday is shopping day for non-food stuff. Sunday is shopping for food stuff.

Well today I took my clothes to the cleaners of course, you know your boy stays sharper than a butcher knife. After that, went to my mom's church for a youth thingy, and I actually made some friends. These two girls that I was scouting, ran the whole show, and afterwards sat down and chatted with me for about 2 hours. They even invited me to one of the chicks birthday dinner on the 9th. Needless to say, a trip to Sakks is on the horizon.

I stayed in all weekend, for once, and it felt good.

I had a second really uneventful weekend, which I realized is probably because I'm still sick, so I just haven't felt like doing anything.

Mmmm, yesterday my friend and I were supposed to go volunteer at our local fair and this other girl (Whom I dislike) decided she wanted to go with us. Being the pushover that I can be, I let her come along. We were quite lost because the Key Club director gave us horrible directions to where we were supposed to be. We ended up going to the wrong booth and had to pick up trash and change trash bags. Now, I'm not usually someone who does that because I'm a spoiled brat. We had to wear these disgusting gloves and thick volunteer shirts which resulted in tons of sweat and random gooey brown liquid on our hands. I suggested we take off the shirts so we can just go hang out elsewhere and not work.

Eventually, I ended up finding the booth we were supposed to be at. I was just happy that they weren't picking up trash.. We were stuck trying to sell raffle tickets. ... So, then I realized this wouldn't work out so well if we were yelling out, "RAFFLE TICKETS!" if most of the people there don't understand English. That idiot girl that came with me decided to offer free hugs. That made our English speaking customers want to go away. Sooo, we all did everything in Canto and Mandarin and it kind of worked. I got bored of it and decided to take a break.

Entertainment was crap. 8 year old girls were trying to sing Cheetah Girls songs but that made me want to kill myself. Then the hot dancers came out. At first I was like, "Uhhh, wtf this is dancing? What the hell is this shit?" But then I didn't care because they ended up being really good and hot. Tehehe. My friend got us "backstage" (which was really to the street, but we were one of the few, so whatever.) I've never felt like such a groupie before. I was just there staring and drooling while my friend was running around with her autograph book. I met a few of the guys and I swear my face looked like a tomato.

Afterwards we really did nothing and just went home. I made a lot of cupcakes and my cousins eat a lot. I had a great time trying to hide from them, I guess.

Today I'm going to play tennis and hopefully I'll be able to go down to this boba place to meet Wong Fu. I'm pretty sure there's going to be tons of people there, so I'm not so sure of that. But hey, it's Philip Wang!

Saturday, slept in, then went to Larry's again. Played some Wii, then drove downtown and I took him for dinner at this amazing Izakaya restaurant. Headed back home then went out to a pub for his birthday with a bunch of friends. It was fun. Then just stayed over at his place, slept in again and we went for brunch at Denny's with our best friends then went back to bed after and napped until like...4pm.
