Just wondering... does your boyfriend care if you wear make up?
I find that most of mine do (or did, to be politically correct). They dislike it very much.
They say I look better without it (in a nice way), but sometimes I wonder if they really mean it and they think I look horrible and just don't want any potential that other guys may look my way if I was wearing any.
Sadly, I feel insecure without it, but I'm having to learn to live without it.

Girls opinions.... Does your boyfriend get upset with you if you wear make up? How do you feel about it?
Guys opinions... does/would it matter to you if your girlfriend wore make up? Would you be insecure about that?

It's funny how they never bring it up before you become their girlfriend. But when you are, it's like... why are you wearing make up? Who are you trying to impress?

To girls (I assume) wearing make up is just about looking presentable (to me, atleast), NOT eye-catching, especially if it's NOT in excessive amounts.

Just wondering what everyone else thinks about it.

Well I can't say anything about past boyfriends since well, I've never had one. But I know that all my guy friends are always like, "No you don't need make-up, Tina. That's for ugly people." I laugh at them. I get more compliments when I put on a bit of blush and when I contour my face. I don't go crazy with the eye make-up much because I like the natural look. I find it funny how everyone compliments me more when I do wear it and then say I don't need make-up. laugh.gif For me, I just want to look presentable and awake.

I think if someone's going overboard with the makeup it's okay to speak up. I'll tell a girl she has on too much makeup before her boyfriend does. I don't think I'd ever want anyone that controlling... If it's meant as a compliment and he says "You're pretty and don't need to wear makeup" that's okay, but if he flat out says "I hate makeup. Don't wear it." that's a no go.

i think guys tend to be more hypocritical about this subject, as with the subject of cosmetology. it's OKAY for other girls to be hot shit as long as they look good, but they want their own girls to be all clean and natural.

at least, it's what it seems like. PROVE ME WRONG, BOYS.

but to answer the question, I never use make-up,I'm too lazy and I end up looking like a party whore if I do.

a lot of guys can't tell the difference between NATURALNESS and EXTREME MAKE-UP SKILL though, i bet the pro make-uppers can make their makeup look so natural that the guys wouldn't even know

As a girl, I like it when other girls apply foundation correctly, and she doesn't look like a slimy, powdered freak.

I only wear eye makeup and lipgloss, but other than that, I can't be bothered. I hate the feeling of something covering my entire face for the entire day. I don't date guys who care, as if they know anything about makeup. It'll rub off during sex, anyway, right? That's all that matters.

You mean literally? Anyways make up can make a plain jane look drop dead gorgeous but on the other hand it can make a naturally beautiful girl look trampy. I guess people need to know how to use it right. I don't know how to use it right. I get more compliments when i don't use it than when i do use it..i don't know how to use eyeliner and i don't know what brand of it or mascara to use. any tips?

Anyway I agree with you. When people don't know how to use make up.... don't use it. You probably don't need it. I don't use mascara too often, so I wouldnt know which brands are good, lol. Eyeliner depends on what kind of eyes you have.

Bothers me as well-- other girls not knowing how to apply make up in a way that complements their features.

About the sex-- pretty true, lol.

well, unless you count lip gloss as make up, but i personally choose chapstick over lip gloss.

.. just that i lost my chapstick and i haven't had the time to buy a new one lol. >_<

i kind of do things similar to the way misshygienic puts it - as long as it doesn't come off during sex, it's fair game to me.

My bf always says i don't need it but if i choose to wear it thats my choice. I've been told by complete strangers (that were men) that already beautiful women dont need it and when they do wear it they evencualy turn into one of the women that DO need to wear it. I range my make-up. On a bad day i'll wear more, on a good day alls i put on is a little mascara and lip gloss. thats usually all i need anyways. I have a complection that women seem to get mad at me for. laugh.gif haha

I wear makeup regardless of whether or not a guy tells me I should, but I put it on tastefully. Guys who hate makeup hate girls who cake it on, and that's perfectly understandable. But while I've had people tell me that I look fine without makeup, I've never had anyone complain when I do wear it.

I wear makeup because, being a blonde white girl, I have really light (almost invisible) eyelashes and very light-colored eyes. I wear eye makeup because if I don't, I feel like my eyes just get washed in with the rest of my face. xD

Try white eyeliner on your lower lids,
Use a little mascara on your top lashes & use an eyelash curler.
Extend your top lashline a little with black/gray eyeliner.
Works for me [:

I think make-up is for women that need the extra confidence boost. Other wise I know ALOT of them that would look so much better with out it...and i'm sure guys could agree with that.
