Hello,
I would like to know how you can customize the text in your name above your pic. I'm using a div layout and I've tried the codes here but they don't work. Thanks in advance. |

CODE <style> .nametext { font-color: #XXXXXX; background-image: ("URL"); font: FONT;} </style> This should work. Just add/delete whatever it is you want to do to your text. |

Seems to work for everyone else. Post *exactly* what you are inserting into your stylesheet.

Yeah, it doesn't work. I just tried it.
Try this one, I edited the original one. CODE <style>
.nametext { font-family: FONT TYPE; font-color: ######; font-weight: bold; background-color: #######; font-size: ##px; </style> |

Well, I did mention he can edit whatever he wants. The, ".nametext" was the emphasis. Works fine for me.

The original code didn't work when I tried it. I believe using just font: name of font; doesn't work. So it has to be font-family in order for it to work.

Unfortunately, that code doesn't work either.
I'm using that iphone layout by crafty-designs. I want to make it cursive gray. |

You say you are using an ipod DIV.
Is this is one?: http://www.createblog.com/layouts/preview.php?id=22913 ".nametext" wont work because this is a div layout, not a standard layout. I looked at the preview for the layout, and I don't see "the text in your name above your pic." I am confused. |

There is no picture with your name above it. Do you mean you put your image in one of the divs and would like the edit the text.
If you'd like you can put something like this: CODE .big{font-family:FONT TYPE; color:######; font-weight:bold; background-color:#######; font-size:##px; } in between your <style> tags and then whatever text it is that you're wanting to change just put <big> before it and </big> after it. |

^ If you're using a DIV layout, of course it won't work. If it was a standard layout, then your able to have text on top of the image.
If you were using a layout from crafty-designs, you could've asked the creator. =/ |

Nah, this is what Myspace support is for. I have no need to ask the creator.

Careful, large modifications of a designers' work - whether it be through Myspace Support or no - can still infringe upon their copyrights! As it is, I think you're alright to change a font color, but caution never hurts.
As for the grey text above your picture - I have absolutely no idea what it is you're referring to. A screenshot would help so we know what you're talking about. Crafty Designs is a pretty active submitter - you'd be better off PM'ing them. I take it the layout is this one? |

Yea...thats the layout and no I didn't infringe the copyright. I'm referring to my name. When you go on myspace you go to edit profile, there you can change your name which goes above your pic. A screenshot is not needed. |

I think it is as your descriptions aren't helping! It will only take a second - it lets us know what you're referring to.
Surely any edit you make to your name won't show as this is a DIV layout and covers those default attributes. |
