I think we're all familiar with our "signature" phrases.

What are yours? Or, better yet, what are some words you find yourself abusing over and over?

I made a topic like this a few months back. It was something like what are some phrases/words you always/mostly say in a convo/aim/etc.

I say "stoked" a lot.

usually when i'm telling someone off, or in web terms, "pwning someone" I end it with:

"Love (Forever),
Trish"

I STARTED THE "EFFING" TREND ON CB. ELBA KNOWS.

Damn. I searched for, "phrase," but I couldn't find anything. I didn't search through 34 pages, though, so that might have been why.

I say, "actually" a lot. I don't think I abuse any phrases. They come and go.

EVERYONE I know says ridiculous about once every other sentence.

If you think about it, though, most things are pretty ridiculous.

i randomly burst into song lyrics, usually by the vines or motion city soundtrack.

if you hear someone singing country music, opera, or bach... it's me. and i don't mean seriously singing bach, because i'm not pro like that, haha.

^that just made me remember, whenever anyone says i love you - i don't care who it is (unless it's my parents, and then i just stay quiet), i make it a point to say "i don't believe in love." or "that's cuz you're dumb!"

and i really don't - i don't believe in the love that everyone around me believes in, except for my own. it doesn't really bother me though; i've learned to stop wanting the kind of love i think exists.

it's usually followed by "i don't believe in (insert anything here) either!"

you know when people say, "i'm always here for you"?
of course it can't ever really be true; eventually somehow your buddy's going to be in the amazon and getting attacked by wild birds or something and you'll be somewhere else. it just doesn't work.

i guess it's just a sort of love that at least makes the effort all the time, no matter how irritated or angry or disappointed or anything you are with that person.

i've never experienced that from anyone. i thought i did before though, but people change their minds.

i can't say that that's all i think there is to it though :P love's a little hard to define.

HAHAHA!
I agree.

I believe in a thing called love, just listen to the rhythm of my heart! Do you remember that song? I hate to get off topic but anytime I talk to anyone about love I remember that song.

I believe that love manifests itself differently for different people. It depends on what kind of person you are.

Not to disturb or interrupt this rather emotional discussion, but I HATE THAT. Friends who are nice because they feel obligated to be, and tell me that they'll always be here for me, or that I can count on them for anything? All I've experienced is a bunch of liars/backstabbers.

I only have one true friend and that's my boyfriend. I can't stand friends who just use you and then throw you away when they find something better.

sorry to disappoint, but i don't think i've ever heard it... :X
now that you bring it up, i do see how you could say love would be different for different people. after all, it seems awkward to assume that it would be concrete.

RIGHT so i'm not going to turn this into a "what's the definition of love" topic, hahaha... we have the relationships category for that. not that it would be of much use, as the newbs would carry on and we'd read "luv cant b defin`d" forever and ever.

misshygienic- i dig. when anyone ever says that to me, i can't resist from making cynical comments in my head. i sure don't mind when someone (aka my manager! haha) writes me a note and says, "if you need to talk, call me anytime" - it seems so much more... realistic, perhaps? i don't know; i'm not a fan of idealism.

and wtf jc?

I KNOW. I rarely reciprocate warm sentiments from anyone other than family and my boyfriend. I just thank them and then we part ways, because it's more than likely that they won't be there. Because you don't know who your friends are until you've been angry with each other.

Whatchu know about true friends. (I love whore-speak.)

WHAT YOU WHAT YOU KNOW BOUT ME

...
anyway, i'm glad to know that there's someone else who doesn't reciprocate i love youz just because people are dishing them out by the dozens. i totally agree on the true friends thing too.

i think it's funny how people get all offended when i don't say i love you back. would you rather have a distorted idea of how i see you?

it's not that i don't care about people. i just don't throw words like that around.

I don't say it to anyone. It's just that I was never aloud to talk on the phone to anyone but my family, so now that I have a phone of my own it's a hard habit to break.

When I meet new people they always want to hug me or they tell me they love me in conversation. People that try to tell me personal things or act like I am their best friend make me uncomfortable.

MAKE ME GO TO BED, JC
nah, i'm leaving. i need to be up in five hours :(

for gifted, even though i was "queened", i have to admit that iwasn't close with each and every one of them. however, a lot of them trusted me enough to talk about their personal lives and problems.

i generally don't trust people with my personal issues so that meant something to me.

Congrats on the 1,000 th post love. I am busy cleaning and shopping right now! Other than that, I guess my catchphrases would be:

No...Really!?
For the win!
Get it done.

All of my friends have hear those, these I say daily:

Are you f**king kidding me?
Forget it...JUST FORGET IT.

Hahaha, 7,000th post. Coooool. This topic is lucky. XD.gif

I say "WTF?!" a lot online. I think that's the only phrase I 'abuse' online.

I have tons of catch phrases in real life. I say "OH BOY!" and "OH SNICKERDOODLES!" in Biology just to mock my friend whenever somebody's doing something weird or exciting. I also say "You're very cool!" when somebody isn't cool.

My favorite is when I say "I like pie. _smile.gif " Whenever a conversation dies down or gets awkward, I say that. If I have two of my friends (Jessica and Michelle) around, we say:

Jessica: I like cheese.
Michelle: I like cake.
Me: I like pie.
Jessica: I like cheese
Michelle: Cake
Me: Pie!

Hahaha, I like cheese cake pie. We're so funny, hahahahaa. Okay, I'll shut up now.

I think we're all familiar with our "signature" phrases.

What are yours? Or, better yet, what are some words you find yourself abusing over and over?

"Dude" I say that far too often. That and "what the FUCK?!"

"Great stuff"

seems to be my online nuisance-phrase lately.

I say that too. I also say "whatever" a lot or "what do you mean?" or "I didn't do it!". One word I say a lot is "Dude!" or I would tell people they can go kick rocks.

Whenever I do emphasis with numbers, I add bajillion after that number. For example, "I had to restart that facebook graffiti 7 bajillion times!"

I do that, but I always use 89. I have no idea why.
I try and quote movies alot, too.
And then, when I'm online, when I'm shocked/Iming someone for the first time in a while, I say DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!

'To be fair...'

'Sad times.'

'I'm confuuuuuuused'
(followed by laughter.)

All very thrilling... I dunno, I'm gonna wait for my own talk show before I settle on a real catch-phrase. You know, see how they play with the pbulic, get a feel fo th reactins and whatnot.
