Make sure you're choose high quality images. When you see an image make sure it doesn't look grainy or pixelated. Starting off with a higher image is the way to go. Photoshop actually have a Save for web option which allows you to see different saving options of your image and it makes it easier. Although I searched and gimp doesn't have one, you may search for a plugin for it.
Your best bet is starting off with higher quality images and saving them as PNG & JPG. If they are animated you can save as gif. But for normal images just use JPG and PNG and see which one works out better once you upload it somewhere. |

i use gimp, and if you save jpeg there's a popup setting box thing and it has a scale, 1-100 for quality. just set it to 100, though the file size is bigger, the quality is better. there's an advanced saving options dropdown menu thing, just switch everything to the best quality ones. easypeasy.

I just wanted to say that I looked through your recent submissions and the image quality is looking pretty good. Some are still a bit pixelated and I can't look through the queue to see your rejected submissions, but my guess is, with the amount of recently approved graphics you have, that there has been improvement.
So congratulations. =) |
