My boyfriend, and a few of my best friends desperately want me to learn to snowboard. Now here's the thing...I don't know shitall about it. I know it involves a board, and boots and snow and shit. Something about a stomp pad ...(say whaaaa?)
And to make matters worse I am terrified of new stuff, mainly b/c i have been told "You can't, you shouldn't, you won't and you suck" for my entire childhood. I'm 17, grew up in a winter town and was never given the opportunity to learn any winter sports. I know theres not much to say, it's all expereince...but what do I need to know about snowboarding. (In stupid terms if need be lol) |

Something about learning the pattern of moving your feet, toes and then heels, toes and then heels, or something. Anyway, it's not a big deal. So what if you can't snowboard? I snowboarded once or twice, and I fell flat on my face several times. IN FRONT OF GUYS. O.M.G.!!(#*$@$+$(%( It's not a big deal. The experience is the falling, laughing it off, and then doing it all again.
Oh, and get some Advil. You will be in pain all day the next day, considering how much you do in one day. |
