My godsister and I attended the same private school when we were in middle school and when I was a freshman in high school we reconnected via AIM. I should take this time to inform all you readers that we are both asian-americans who have strict parents (hers are worse being that she is a girl and they believe in a zero life policy) I attended her grade school graduation and she loved it. Well I went to a public high school while she still stayed in private school (her family is very well off) but we stayed in very good touch. Every single problem I ever had, she was the first to know and she'd always listen and offer the best she can in advice. Honest we've been through so much together but all this time was online. On one of the worst days of her life, I asked her to be my godsister, and damn that was one of the happiest moments of my life. She knows me so well that it's scary. Well now she's one of the most popular girls in town and I have one of the worst reputations. People either know me as one of my real sister's brother or an ex gang banger. Earlier today I ended our relationship by stating that she's one of the best people I've ever known and one of the reasons I have tried to live my life for the better, but that she doesn't need a friend like me that will bring her reputation down by association. She didn't say anything at all but I had to end it. I'm a buster on a mission and if it's a lonely life I have to live, so be it.
Thanks for reading even it's pretty long. My question is do you guys think I made the right decision for someone I love as my own family? |

You're a pussy with no self esteem who's too busy being down on himself to realize you're losing a good friend.
Man up, faggot. |

Wth man up supposed to mean? That was the best thing I can do for her. She doesn't need a person like me in her life. She's got way too much going on for her to have someone hold her back. f**k you Kyro you don't even know the half of it.

No, you're looking for sympathy and I'm not giving it to you. The best thing you can do for her is to be a good friend, not cut off your relationship because you're going through an emo phase. Clean up your act, stop being a whiny bitch and man the fuck up.

Hate to admit it, but the Kryo dude is right, while his words are unnecessarily harsh, you are losing a good friend.

I don't see how knowing you would hurt her.
It seems like you like to have drama in your life. |

instead of cutting her off, improve upon yourself. who really gives a f**k about your 'reputation'. in ten years, no one will even remember who you are. the only true 'rep' in life that matters are the thoughts of those who care for us. like her's.

You're a pussy with no self esteem who's too busy being down on himself to realize you're losing a good friend. Man up, faggot. As much as he shouldn't be bashing, you need a dose of reality. James' is right. All you're doing is losing a good friend. You think you're doing her a favor, but the truth is you're probably just hurting each other. Like he said, "Man the fuck up." |

Sorry for the reference, but I guess it was just too late to apologize.

It was via AIM though. I don't think you would've had such a bad impact on her reputation.

^Exactly.
Ya know, this reminds me of the guy I'm in love with. He dropped out of school because of personal problems in his senior year. I've got a good head on my shoulders, and he constantly worries that he's going to mess me up, drag me down or hold me back. And while I'm touched that he's concerned, he needs to wake up. What I'm saying is, it's her decision on whether you're good or bad for her "reputation," or if she even gives a damn. You care for her so much, you say, but you're not giving her enough credit. You need to have more faith in both her and yourself. And it's never too late to apologize. I bet she'll understand if you explain it to her, but she may be hurt. But at least make the effort. At the very least, it'll make you less of an a-hole in her mind. |
