Why would parents want to name their child "Dick" or "Dickson"? Don't they know how they can be humiliated by it? mellow.gif

Oh, "Dick" is one of the tamer ones out of the humiliating names you can give to a child. That's been accepted, now. I did know of a guy once who was named, "Loins."

My great grandma married a man named Dick, or well I was led to believe that for years until I finally asked "Who the hell names their kid that? That's just wrong" (mellow.gif) and then they finally told me his real name was Richard and that was just his nick name. God I wonder how he got such a name.

Haha we got this boy for one of those donation gift thingies and his name is Sue.

I think it's weird when kids have the same name as a place. Like the girl I babysit, Georgia. Or a name like Pheonix, Madison, Savannah, Dakota, Paris, Dallas, Asia, and the like.

Dee is a weird name too rolleyes.gif

^3 I live by Madison... it'd be a little creepy to be named Madison and live there.

Good thing his first name isn't Shakespeare, otherwise he'd have to live up to it... or named him Casanova.

I have an old lady's name sad.gif I guess it's kinda balanced because my first and middle name are half as long as my last name. Better than me having 500 letters in my name.

I would probably name my kid Ebenezer or something, just to be mean...

It was a popular name before the word got turned into a crude reference to guys' parts, I guess. I'd never name my child something that could be used to make fun of them, though.

I really don't understand how Bill is short for William and Bob for Robert and Dick from Richard.

Wouldn't it be Will, Rob, and Rick?

I'm so confused now.

Last year, there was a Clint at my school. But some people changed his campaign posters when he ran for ASB, so it said "Clit."

I hate "clever" names...
Benjamin Dover
Chanda Leer
I know a girl that just named her daughter "Baby Girl Smith". rolleyes.gif
I also knew a guy by the name of Seefoo.

What happened to real names?

Sofa.
