Every Christmas, I always end up broke because I spend alot of money for gifts. I spend a hella lot of money, for my family (at least $100 per family member) and a decent amount for my friends ($50 per friend). But I know alot of people who have the money, but rather spend it on themselves.

So..are you a gift-taker or a gift-giver? (:

This year = $0

I'm usually a gift giver, but this year I just really don't feel like getting anyone anything. Maybe I'll bake cookies.

I spent about $125 on my dad, around $200 on my boyfriend, and I'm going to buy some jewelry for my mom that will probably come out to $250 or so. Uhh... I haven't bought my brother anything yet, but I'll probably get him a hoodie or a jacket or a $50 gift card for somewhere... I don't know. And I have to buy stuff for people I work with. I'm getting cheap stuff for them, though. Oops.

I spend about £20 ($40) each on my immediate family, £10 ($20) on grandfolks and I spent about £90 ($180) on my boyfriend this Christmas.

I give presents to my close friends. This year I spent a little more than $100 on gifts for four people. I don't buy expensive, generic things; I get smaller things that I know will mean a lot to their receivers. The latter is the kind of gift I like to receive too.

Hm...my Christmas list is pretty short. Parents, boyfriend, boyfriends parents & brother, best friend, best guy friend, one other girlfriend and then just baked goods (from scratch!) for everyone else. =p I'm too broke. But um...let's see.
About $10-20 each for parents/boyfriends family.
$200+ on my boyfriend, haha.
Best friend was like...$40 I think, same with my best guy friend and my other girlfriend was like...$20 I think.

I like to buy people things, but I'm usually clueless as to what they buy. Sometimes I'd rather look like an ass and not buy them things than buy them something and have them not use it.

Usually everyone in my family has a 50 dollar limit. Or just give everybody a twenty.

I give generously to few people (like $50+) and I get other people random little things from places like wishingfish.

Look it up if you want :) That's probably one of my favorite sites to get people gifts, haha. They have so much quirky (and usable) stuff... like colored toilet paper and interesting sorts of tea.

I LOVE buying cosmetics for my friends who are into that... I splurge on fashion/beauty gifts.
