There was a topic on this already. But whatever. New thread.

I throb.gif Opera. Great sleek/compact design with a ton of things IE and Firefox (which I like too) don't have. It's supposedly has the best security.

Pros:
  • Speed Dial. You open a new tab, it has a menu of links you choose. very handy.
  • Integrated mail system. I think Firefox has thunderbird, which is separate.
  • Mouse movements. You hold right click to do different things with the browser. Makes surfing very easy.
Cons:
  • Some sites aren't compatible with Opera.
  • It can't function on my Vista system and I don't know why. Must me IE and Firefox shutting out the competitor.

mozilla firefox.
pros: more secure than IE, really popular, allows more freedom with plug-ins and skins.
cons: doesn't recognize a few coding things.

I've tried Opera/IE/Firefox. IE is straight-up shit, so there's no argument there, but this is what I've experienced. I still use Firefox instead of Opera, just because of its stupid font feature. It still doesn't work, but if I were to pick one, it'd be Opera.

Firefox
Pros:
- Tabbed Browsing
- Nice themes
- Easy interface to navigate; fairly straight-forward
- I've never had any problems with its HTML/CSS compatibility
- Grease Monkey

Cons:
- Sometimes when Firefox updates, some of its themes, plug-ins, or add-ons will not work and that sucks, but you can always disable the feature and enable it when there is an upgrade available
- It is not a light-weight browser
- The browser itself isn't all that customizable. For example, if you wanted the tabs on the bottom instead of the top, well, you can't do that

Opera
Pros:
- Light-weight
- Installing themes is simple
- The speed dial feature
- The look of the browser is completely in your hands
- Smooth scrolling

Cons:
- It is not a friendly browser. It seriously took me 30 minutes to figure out how to force website to change their fonts to my liking
- Themes suck

I use Firefox and Opera. Internet Explorer is just for when sites won't display properly in either FF or Opera, which happens a lot because Opera treats a lot of coding the same way FF does.

Firefox + IE Tab add on, and you're set.

I agree with Arjuna. Firefox can't be beat, especially with the IE tab that fixes the HTML issue. I switched to Opera for a couple weeks, to see for myself, and I was more annoyed with it than anything. I do like speed dial, but it's pretty pointless if you think about it. Nothing I can't live without.

Firefox is amazing, plain and simple. Add ons are great as well as simple features like the inline spell check to catch your typos and whatnot. It's got the best community as far as skins and add ons go.

I started using Opera about a month ago. I liked a lot of the features, and the aesthetics were unmatched, in certain ways. I miss Firefox for certain issues, but Opera handles extremely well and takes less system resources to run, as it would seem. I love the Speed Dial function, and the fact that I can sync my bookmarks with my phone, through Opera Mini.
