a cousin of mine asked me to design a tattoo for her.
she wants to use a quote from some of my dad's poetry:

"we rise from the ashes of yesterday's burns"

she said be creative, but I have had absolutely no creativity lately laugh.gif

this is the only thing I can come up with...
lame, I know.

any suggestions/ideas?

I would say flames but that's so cliche...

Beautiful lines.

i would say somewhat bright colouring. maybe some unique stylized flowers rising from, as cliche as it is, some flames. but don't make them....the standard harsh cartoonified flames. try and make it look elegant. so that it all somehow wraps around and surrounds the text.

yep. i dunno. there was a reason i never went to work at the tattoo place. so maybe i'm entirely off on this one.

Whatever you do make sure the lines aren't too small or close together. As tattoos age the ink spreads.

Does she want that lettering?
