So earlier tonight, I spent my birthday going to a Relient K/Switchfoot Concert. I cut early, and didn't want to see Switchfoot. (Because I ended up taking a white chick home to my apartment where I finally got laid after so many weeks). Anyways, so I went to the merchant area, where they sell the t-shirts, CDs, posters, etc. Well there was this very nice $60 black and white stripe Relient K hoodie, but they only had size L and XL. So I asked one of the girls working there, if I could see the L size one hoodie, to see if it was still a good size. It happened to be okay. So I was holding the hoodie in my hands, checking it out, when she walked away and talked to the other customers. I mean there was 4000 people at this show. It was crazy. So there was alot of people at the merch area. But the fact that she walked away, and I had the hoodie in my hands, and I could've easily walked away and she would have never notice. Because I was literally standing there for 10 minutes, waiting to return it back! It was really tempting to just take it for free, and leave. But that would be consider stealing. I'm atheist, but sometimes I do believe in a higher order, and I thought since it was my birthday today, God must be testing me, or giving me a birthday present in a nice way. Haha. But yeah, seriously, I could've gotten away with it, but I was able to control my temptation. Have you guys ever had such a huge temptation to do something, but you actually controlled it and didn't do what you wanted to do? Man, I could've gotten a free hoodie, and treated myself to a nice birthday present. Haha. Damn you God. Stop testing me.

Man, I would've been tempted myself. I been tempted to steal things because I knew I could get away with it. I seen this Hello Kitty Robo Pins 2 Pack. I wanted to take it because I LOVE HER. It was small enough to stick it in my pocket but I didn't

i stole this blue shiny rock off the teachers desk in elementary school. i also stole a rock in Pier 1 once, i was like 9 then. i don't know what my deal with rocks was though. so yeah, u can say i'm a pretty experienced robber. cool.gif

i agree with steven, it was random when u all the sudden threw religious aspects into the story. i rarely think about stealing. however, the other day at olive garden i kept thinking how easy it would be to just get up and leave before they brought me my check.

Ahahaha oh man, you made my day. flowers.gif

Yea, there are times where I have something in my hand and I could just walk away with it. But then I realized, that's messed. I believe in karma. And I've had things stolen from me before! So I don't want that shit happening again! So I nicely put it back. _smile.gif

^ That's okay.

One time I had a pencil and I was twirling it and my teacher too it away. So my friend stole it back. Technically, the pencil was mine's in the first place, so my friend did me a favor. _smile.gif

OMG I hated that teacher. I hated how she got annoyed at me for twirling my pencil. It's not THAT distracting, and it's better than me tapping the pencil against the desk.

I'm proud of you, Tung. :P

I've had a few moments like that in my life, but I've never fallen to my temptation since I'm too much of a good girl. rolleyes.gif And I haven't had any moments like it in the past few months, now that I think about it.

Yeah, I know the religious crap was kinda weird haha. But yeah, I stood there for 10 whole minutes before the lady noticed me, and remembered about me. The merch area was a 3 seconds walk to the exit where I could've just walked away. 10 minutes was a long ass time, I was so tempted.

very tempting. You could've taught the merchant a lesson not to leave their customers... xD

But you are a good person for overcoming the temptation.

yeah, but in these kind of situations, I always like to think about religious values, even though i'm supposedly atheist LOL. I guess I'm a good guy. But damn, a free hoodie is a free hoodie right?

I don't think it was really a God thing so much as a salesgirl who ought to be fired, but still, moraltastic!

Lol, I would probably have done the same thing, although I have occaisonally walked away from a bar without paying for drinks.

Probably just because so many people assume that you can't have morals without religion, which is of course crap.

Yeah, the other day I walked away with a $2 cup of bubble tea, but I don't think I would on something more valuable like that.
