I know I'm not the only one that's started thinking about Christmas gifts!

You know that ONE thing that's just too expensive to buy yourself and you start hinting about during the family dinner? Or, you're just too lazy to go get it yourself? Post it here! ... Or post your entire Christmas list... if anyone still does that.

So I definitely want a PS3. But I seriously doubt my parents will do that. I'll get the "You're in college! Go get your own!" XD.gif Oh well.

^Why do you want a PS3? They suck, I mean the parts in it are really really good, but together their horrible.

Anyway I just want money so I can buy a new laptop, either a XPS or the best tabletPC I can find.

^ I guess it would be better to have it next year, when they are more consistently built better for the new Final Fantasy games. I'm addicted pinch.gif

Maybe I oughta get the Wii. That would be fun!

No. The fam doesn't believe in the whole "giving presents at a certain time in the year." My parents believe that if you want something, you gotta just speak up, and they'll decide. So it's not limited to just christmas to get stuff.

and anyways, the whole fam, myself included is atheist.

I have no idea yet, I think I may ask for a better camera, orrrr... idk. shrug.gif
Maybe money put in my bank account. But who knows.
What I desire more than anything would be a ticket to ireland, but that is unlikely and I probably won't even mention it.

Sooo...I'll decide eventually.

I really really wanna a PS3 because of next year's gaming lineup, but its too expensive. FFXIII and Metal Gear Solid, nuff said.

The only reason I wanna a Wii is for Super Smash Brothers Brawl, other than that the Wii bores me. yawn.gif But SMB makes up for it because it never gets old and you can use the gamecube controller.

Its true, the XB360 is much better than the PS3. If you're looking for a video game console you should look towards the Wii or the XB360. They're all around better. You can't really compare the Wii to either of them. Here is an article about the PS3 vs. XB360.

Article: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/617/617951p1.html

To sum up what the article says about the XBOX360 and the PS3. Basically, on paper the PS3 looks much more powerful. The separate components seem to pack a huge punch, but don't let these high numbers deceive you. The PS3's parts may be faster, but they don't communicate well with each other. This flaw in the PS3's design slows it down and allows the XBOX360 to take the lead in nearly every area of graphical performance.

If you're looking for a system with powerful graphics capabilities and an online community then go with the Xbox360. If you're looking for a recreational console then go with the Wii.

Anyway, what do I want... I want a surprise. Truth is, I can buy whatever I want. I really don't need anyone to buy it for me. Creative presents are usually the best. Something special from my Holly. That's what I want.

The Wii is more of something that's.. revolutionary in gaming, so it definitely cannot be compared with the xbox360 or PS3. The Wii itself sold over 9 million (or something like that) within it's first year. Yea, it's aleady been a year since it's been released. Neither the PS3 nor the 360 has done that. Why is it that Wiis are still no where to be found? I can walk in any bestbuy, walmart, Fry's Electronics,GameStop/EBGames etc. and I won't even see a single box for a Wii.

Might I point out (as I have many times before) that my boyfriend owns a PS3, xbox360, and Wii. Sadly, the Wii's not getting any lovin' right now what with Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, BioShock, and soon-to-be-Mass-Effect PWNing our xbox360. At least our PS3 gets lovin' from our Blu-Ray discs.

XBoxLive gained momentum with its strong online community. Even though you have to "pay" for it, it's not really expensive if you get the annual thing... Whatever it's called. Although the 360 has BETRAYED (lmao Halo3) us with it's red ring of death, it's okay! We got another one and it's all good. I guess you could say that was the only downside. But luckily Microsoft extended its warranty to 3 years now.

PS3 may be superior in graphics (well... High Definition, yo), but there hasn't been much of an interesting line-up recently, so it hasn't really phased us.

I dunno, Resistance: Fall of Man looked pretty hardcore, graphics-wise.

But graphics on 360 have gotten better and better. I haven't seen the lover play (or even buy) any new PS3 games recently, so I can't compare. But when PS3 FIRST came out, its graphics DID look significantly better compared to games on xbox360. And sorry to be redundant, but yea it's not really superior any more. You're right on that one. :]

Regardless, game shouldn't be just focused on graphics; storyline, controls and handling, multiplayer and co-ops are very substantial. Plus, 360's line-ups are looking good. But then again, I haven't heard anything great from the PS3 for a while now. sweating.gif

lmao this is becoming a debate, but then again I'm agreeing with you. And once again, I apologize for any redudancy in my post. :]

EDIT - Oh ho ho, waiting for me to reply, eh?! tongue.gif

Wii is easy to find where I'm at. If I had the money right now I would buy it, but gas money eats all that up.

And there is no need for me to have a PS3 at this moment even with the superior graphics in games like MGS and Ratchet and Clank. They have a weak gaming lineup right now with the exception of Ratchet and Clank and Heavenly Sword, but next year will be a different story. Besides with the new price drop PS3 sales are going up. XBOX 360 is good but there is no need for me to get one since the PS3 will be able to play PC games pretty soon. Which means Halo and Gears of War could possibly be played on a PS3.

And PS: All of us sound like XBOX 360 , PS3, and Wii stans. Someone going to end up getting hurt before its all over. tongue.gif

Stan = Obsessive fan.

lmao am not! btw in Japanese, an obsessive fan would be an "otaku", of course I only refer to anime/manga geeks (100 x more HxC than me) as otakus tongue.gif I don't really play video games shrug.gif

We could care less about the price drop since we got the 60gig ps3 for $500 straight. _smile.gif It's practically a Blu-Ray player to us. But yea, the lover's witing for MGS on that. It's not my style.

*sticks to GTIII on 360*

2008 will definitely be one heck of a year in gaming, but let's continue this in Technology, if we must. whistling.gif

Yeah plus PS3 has like no good games. Iono, I'm very happy w/ my Wii. Metroid 3 is full of win, and as soon as I beat that I'm moving on to the next Zelda, which is supposed to be a godsend if you liked Ocarina of Time. In our house, we have every system except ps1 and ps3. I had a ps2 for the FF games and Guitar Hero 2.

edit:: EW @ MUSTANG. I mean, not so much EW, but why buy it when in a year and a half the new Camaroes are coming out. 400 hp, 28 mpg, 29k fully loaded price, plus they look much more kick ass and are much more aerodynamic.

Hmmm... My Christmas list goes something like this...

1. Someone leaves a million dollars at my door.
2. All of my neighbors move and I get new ones that are cool.
3. My family finally admits that I was really adopted.
4. A new computer.
5. Some scented candles that actually smell good and not icky.
6. Someone steals the bright pink monkey someone gave me as a present a couple of years ago.
7. Sasquatch eats Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears.
8. My own TV show.
9. A pair of fuzzy handcuffs.
10. Someone needy like me gets to win the lotto for once.
11. Some gragoyles.
12. A nice fluffy and soft robe.

If I think of any others, I will post more later.

Eh, Mustangs just have always been "that car" for me. Personally I love the body style and the way it handles. I do have to say that those Camaros look hott too, but the Mustang will always be my favorite.

Did you see the car chase between the Camaro and Mustang in Transformers? That was FREAKING AMAZING!!

Anyway, I need money for Christmas shopping... I wish I could just add that to my list... but it doesn't work that way...

- red ballet flats and maybe a dress from Anthrolopogie
- trench coat
- a cable knit sweater
- slim sneakers
- boots

basically lots of clothes... And then some 'real' perfume, and another bag or two, like one tote and one smaller shoulder bag. A bike would be nice too, but I'll probably wait till spring to ask for one, unless they're on sale in the winter...

Oh and I really need a few things tailored. They don't necessarily count as presents though.

I want a camera, but I know I won't get it because it's just too expensive and beside I don't have any money so that I can pay for some of it.
I also want this book, "Book Thief" I think it's called.
And I want a nice year of 2008.
Dunno what more I want, since it feels like more than a little over one month left till Christmas, so it doesn't feel like Christmas yet.

I'm trying to think of more thoughtful things...rather than material objects. but then thats all that comes to my mind.
-an iPod video upgrade (from my now stupid nano)
-dunks
-A Wii and/or DS
-still need that heroes season one dvd set >__>

but i like to save up my own money and buy my own things. it makes me feel good about myself.
