what's your pet peeve when it comes to graphics and such?


mine is the pixelation thing. ya know, when people resize images, or just save it as a crappy type and don't care...

Exaggerated diffuse glow/gaussian blur in photos, particularly celebrities. They were already airbrushed, they don't need the extra "glow." God.

Ick, images that have been softened and softened and softened and... you get the idea.

Also, when people use too many brushes. Like those graphics that we've all been guilty of making when we first got an image program. The person, white background, little swirly brushes.

Glittery text and ugly font.

Also, is it just me, or does EVERYBODY do the vintage-looking icon thing? I feel like I'm an older generation here, but honestly, everything I see nowadays looks the same.

HORRIBLE quality pictures, ugly colors, anything with glitter, and over-sharpened pictures.

Right now, it's the whole cutout images with abstract elements, lots of brushes/swirls/circles/tech stuff in the background, foreground, everywhere, etc. I've been noticing it more on dA and it's unoriginal.
