Okay, so at my school in my English class we have to make a children's book, that we will read to preschoolers. What do you think? I know it's very bad quality pictures, but you get the idea.

Are you ready to learn about some cool shapes? I sure am!

What shape is this? It’s a circle, like buttons and tires!

What shape is this? It’s a funny looking oval, lie an egg or a gem!

What shape is this? It’s a square, like a box or this book!

What shape is this? It’s a diamond, it’d like a piece of jewelry!

What shape is this? It’s a rectangle, this looks like a flag!

What shape is this? It’s a heart, you use this to show your love!

What shape is this? It’s a triangle, it looks like a Christmas tree or some pizza!

What shape is this? It’s a star, you see them in the sky at night!

What shape is this? It’s a crescent, It looks like a banana or the moon!

What shape is this? It’s got a hard name, octagon, it looks like a stop sign!

What is your favorite shape? Mine is a heart.

We see these shapes everyday! What kinds of shapes do you see now?

I see a . . . circle, an oval, a square, a diamond, a rectangle,

A heart, a triangle, a star, a crescent, and an octagon. . . -- These are all the shapes we learned about today!

Aww, I think it's perfect. Great job. You hit it spot on with the age level.

Geez, 400 points. My finals aren't even worth that much!

Anyway, best of luck to you; hope it turns out!

Wow this is really cute! I can really imagine this being published, strangely. Hah. It's simple enough for the age group to understand. Hope you get good marks for it, if you don't, well.. you have stupid teachers laugh.gif

Thanks you guys. And, I was just looking at the paper we got about it make sure there was nothing I am missing at it is 630 points not 400. We have that at one other project that is a sum of 11 papers that is due Dec. 10 and it's worth 1100 points.

It seems like it would be easier for first graders then pre-schoolers. Good luck!

I agree, as simple as you guys make it for them to learn it seems better suited for kindergarten or first graders. But hey, kids are getting smarter and smarter every day, so why not give it a shot. I found a few spelling mistakes but I'm not sure if you already fixed them or not. Overall, still very cute. _smile.gif

Spelling mistakes is okay. I have it typed out on the page, just for on this board I quickly typed them up again, because I couldn't get the words in the pictures I took. So, it's all spelled correctly in the actually thing. Thanks though! And I feel like I went out a little bit with the octagon and crescent, I don't remember learning baout them as a pre-schooler so . . . we'll see. _smile.gif

At least you didn't put in heptagon. I remember saying that to someone in high school and they're like "a what?"

Anyways, yea I too believe that I can see it published. lol I'd buy it because it's soo cute! But it better not be expensive. It's cool - I got my borders' coupons. lol. AND wtf 400+ points?! That's a lot! But then again my final for bio is 900 points, and it's 90 multiple choice questions. mellow.gif pinch.gif
