All of the links come out messed up no matter what I do. They end up being like a msplinks.com/............................ instead of what it is supposed to be. Like the links to go see my friends or comment me. I thought it was just one layout but it did it for all of the ones I tried. Is it myspace that is blocking us from being able to add aditional links or what.

What do I do to fix this problem?

^ Yep

This is something that Myspace has included recently to help protect against phishers and spammers.

Any and all links, whether contained within a DIV layout or a default layout, will be instantly converted to an 'MS Link' the moment you save changes.

With most layouts, the designer will have left instructions on how to adapt these links to your own personal settings (YOUR comments, YOUR pictures, YOUR blog etc).

Usually, there are instructions such as 'Paste your friend ID where the xxxx's are in the links' - which you must do BEFORE you save your layout to your account. Otherwise, the link gets changed to an MS Link before you input your Friend ID.

I replaced all of the XXXXX and so on with my friend ID. I just realized though after playing around with it that I can only mess with it and save it once. I am really good with reading html so I just did all of my changes on wordpad, saving it every couple of minutes, then I just put it on my myspace. I still have the layout saved on my wordpad so that if I ever want to make changes in the future I can do them there first then paste the new code onto my myspace in place of the old code with all of the msplinks things. It seems like a lot of trouble, but I really like those layouts.
