tmobile's better cause the plans are cheap.

Sprint plans suck and their phones suck, imo.

Verizon > Cingular > Tmobile > Sprint in terms of reception where I live.

I want verizon, but I want cool phones too. =X

I have Verizon atm... I mean, they're great with reception, but their phones? Kinda janky. stubborn.gif I'd settle for T-Mobile, and I heard that Cingular does get a lot of drop calls.

Phones wise:

T-Mobile > Cingular > Verizon = Sprint

Reception Wise (SF, CA):

Verizon > Cingular > T-Mobile > Sprint

So why does Sprint suck?

Because I've been in the store and on the phone with them since 9:30 this morning and my problem STILL isn't resolved. My phone keeps freezing and randomly doesn't work so I just want a new phone at a discounted price because I've only had my phone for 5 months, but that's too much to ask. Fucking just give me the phone I want without all this bullshit. They keep saying they'll credit my account and that I can use that to order online. Rebate doesn't show up, I don't order. Call back, "OH! You can online use that rebate in the store". Go to the store, "Uh, that rebate doesn't work with our systems". Call back, "OH! You can only order with that rebate on the phone". GOD DAMN PIECE OF SHIT! I've been on the phone with 7 reps and talked to 4 different people in 2 different stores.

Actually verizon is getting better in terms of phones, did you see their new line up. JUKE | VOYAGER | VENUS and another one i forgot.

but what i hate hate hate hate about verizon is that all their phone interfaces are controlled by verizon and they are all the same and boring......... the phone maybe really nice but they are all the same due to their platform.

AND my friends pay a hell of a lot more with verizon, one friend pays 70 for himself and my whole family (3 people) pay only 50+10 (unlimited txt) which equals only 60... crazy aint it.

Tmobile is really good with their plans but their reception is okay.

i might switch to cingular or just stay with tmobile cause i love both of their phones.

As terrible as T-Mobile signals may be I'm proud with it as cellphones are meant to be used outdoors either way. When I'm in my house I have a house phone, and when I'm at work I have my own workline.

Haha, Spencer. At Verizon, if your phone is f**king up, they just give you another one. Of course, it's most likely going to be a refurbished phone.

I think my problem is I'm trying to milk a new, more expensive phone out of them. I already have a $150 credit now and 100 extra minutes for the month, but I've told them repeatedly I'm not going to pay full price now and wait for the mail-in-rebate to come later.

All I'm trying to do is get that phone, NOT EVEN FREE, just at a discounted price since I haven't had my other for 5 months. I'm willing the pay the $99.99 which is after I sign up for a new 2 year contract and get the $150, but that's WAY too easy.

What is Fido?

Here's what finally happened:
After fighting with more than 10 people, I knew about this website and found some excutive people's numbers. I called the front desk and she transfered me to another lady who ordered the phone, made it the online price like I'd talked about with the first lady, and said the phone'll be here tomorrrow. THANK GOD!

T-mobile uses 1900 MHz. This means it sucks at going through walls, because that's the highest freq. of any of the major carriers. Things could be worse, though, I could have a crappy phone from Verizon locked out of running Java apps and media files not provided from them at a stupid cost. Oh, and buying phones through carriers is lame, I found out the hard way.

Actually, Verizon came fromt he merging of Airtouch, GTE, and some other cell-phone service company, from the past. I just remember my half sister having Airtouch and GTE back when I was in elementary school. Damn, that was like 10 years ago. mellow.gif And I heard those companies were really good back then. Monopoly? No, but the fact that they have the best reception and customer service, it means something, right? _smile.gif

Tmobile and at&t (stfu people, it's NOT cingular anymore!) are good only in the sense that you can get AMAZING DEALS on imported phones (overseas phones, anyone?). Tmobile's cool since I can still stick with 1-year contracts. I might end up switching if another company (wth GSM sim cards) comes in with better service and reception. I guess I just like that flexibility.

Zed - what, you only pay $60? WTF? I pay $75/month for 2 lines (700 minutes, free nights, weekends and m2m) and 400 texts. Which family plan do you have?!

I like Sprint. I have good reception, a decent phone, amazing customer support (if I need to ask a question or something arises), unlimited everything, and two other lines with the same for 95 a month. Oh yeah, 1000 minutes.

I'm going to get a Helio (LOL I know) Ocean after my sprint contract is up. They seem to have everything I've got now + better reception. Also their "phones" (I can't call it a phone for sure because I'll wake up underwater with a fish about to murder me) are really cool imo. If I don't get that, I'm getting a Blackberry because I'm kinda tired of flip phones haha. Well, at least mine. The Samsung A900.
