laugh.gif I don't think I've ever had to ask for help before.

Anyway for youtube videos when you resize them down you usually get these white bars on the side and I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the colors of those bars? Or make them transparent or something pinch.gif

Thanks!!! hug.gif

Could you post the embed code Holly? Can you add a background-color: transparent attribute?

I wonder if the bars are part of the flash file... if not there should be a way to change them.

Easy.

Replace the URL with your own.

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="155" width="230" style="width:230px; height:155px;" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/ToOAuD9qlig&rel=1">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ToOAuD9qlig&rel=1" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>

Oh, and by the way, take the URL from the "Embed Video" section, not the one in your address bar.

I bumped this because I saw a lot of other unresolved topics asking this.

Hmm. Wait, so you don't want to make the width and height of the YouTube video in proportion? Do you think I could see a link or screenshot of what you're trying to do? XD.gif

Proportioned or not, the resized video will look like this:

Terrible. Belongs on the failure pile, right next to Communism.

But through the genius of Reidar, it will become:
