KennethDahl.com

He's an artist who does mainly oil paintings.

I made the site for him to showcase some of his work.

Let me know what you think of the art.

I'm sure he'll enjoy reading your opinions.

Edit: I didn't notice an Art subforum under Interests huh.gif sorry.

its more of a showcase seeing how you made the layout
you might want to link the index instead.
The layout looks awesome, its simple and the use of his art worked out well
kennethdahl.com would look a tad better if it was an image indtead of text it self,
like maybe in these fonts

which can be found in http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=502

As for the art, while I'm not into the more traditional forms of art since i lack the skill it doesn't mean that i dislike it in general, the art presented in the site is superb, I just love his nature pieces and the once abstract piece available on the site, and the detail shots are just amazing. While the sports section does not appeal nor catch my interests its an great section non the less. Photography doesn't seem to be his best, although he produced some great shots that could be just a tad better.

aww that's so sweet of you.

i agree with the image part ^ mentioned, i also think the blue may be too saturated, you can make it lighter to bring more attention to the artwork instead of the background. that's just my opinion though.

i like that.

and this is cool.

Ooh, he is really good. I love the seascape ones.
The site looks nice, I agree with Amanda about the font. But other than that, I like it. It's simple and clean. _smile.gif

I guess the Art. I thought it was the layout, since it was in the Showcase Booth. But I suppose it needs to be moved.

Since I was wrong, I'll say more about the art. It is lovely, the seascape and landscape ones are my favorites. Especially the 1st landscape. If I had the money, I would probably buy a print. Being broke sucks. haha

I liked the abstract one.. I think I would have liked it if it was a bit different though but the smaller view of it was nicer then the closer details.

I liked the not available art work or the first few that I saw.

I was referring to the actual artwork, but I really appreciate the feedback on the site also _smile.gif

I'm show him this thread, he'll get a kick out of it _smile.gif

I agree on the font advice, I'll change that when I get around to editing the site again.

Thanks again everyone!

I'm going to move this to art, since.... you're showcasing art, and not the layout or any graphics.
I hope you don't mind, Danny.

--> Art.

I really, really like your dad's style. The seascapes are my favorite since I like water. Amazing work in all areas though. I hope he'll do some more abstract paintings soon.
