I've making myspace layouts for a while now, so I thought I'd make a site to put them on. I can't figure out how to make a site though! I don't even know where to start.. I made my layout for my website but I need to code. Which I don't know how to do. I'm using bravenet.com for my site, but I'm not sure where to put the html code. I put it in a new file, which I think is right.. but I don't know.

If you guys know of any tutorials for making websites please let me know.. or give me some tips or something. I'm so stumped =(

Since you already made your layout, can you post an image of it? It doesn't have to be the full size if you're afraid of people jocking it. Do you want to use divs, tables, frames, iframes, etc. (I'm not that familiar with website coding)? If you have images, you may want to use Adobe Imageready's slice tool to cut up the layout.

Check out this link for CSS help. You can save time by using CSS instead of HTML for many things. E.g. you can set your default font face, size, color, style, etc. using CSS. You code MySpace so I'm sure you know that. :P

okay so since you have yet coded your layout I recomment using DREAMWEAVER after slicing all the different parts in photoshop. In dreamweaver you can make attachable stylesheets. first start out like that and learn about php and Mysql for easier datebasing systems:]

Are you using any programs what so ever to code your website coding?

Dreamweaver, frontpage, etc?

Idk, if I were you, and since your just now starting out I would have suggested Freewebs for you to learn by and then you could have bought a domain or something through them.

OH FTP programs, if you use firefox browser just download FireFTP

w3schools.com is the perfect place to start for web development and coding. You can also use some WYSWYG editor as to start and understand how things works once you get you are familiar with the flow you can proceed with PHP and other programing languages.
All the best.....
