I need help with a friend.
I met her in June during a Summer Gym class we were both taking, lol. My first impression of her was that she was a complete bitch and I wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. We were kinda forced together and ended up becoming pretty good friends. We were good for a few months, and then we started having some problems. She was really into this boy I absolutely hated because he treated her like crap, and I was still really into my ex. We both bitched at each other about that and got into quite a few fights, but we always got over it. Well lately, she's gotten even bitchier. It's gotten to the point where she's losing all of her friends and wants to change schools. I feel bad for her because nobody should have to go through that, but she needs to realize there's a reason why everyone's stopped being friends with her. She'll vent to you and complain, but if you try to help her she'll snap and say she doesn't want your help. And she gets irritated for NO reason. I don't think she understands that she can't treat people like that. Now, I don't wanna be the next friend to leave her, but I'm getting tired of trying to help and be there for her and have her completely blow me off. And if I try to tell her that she needs to look at how she's been treating everyone, she completely blows up. What do I do? ![]() |

I know you want to help but what they said was right. (The person above) Perhaps she needs some time to think about everything. If it doesn't work out, then talk to her calmy and even if she ticks you off, try not to snap at her. Tell her how she contradicts herself, and that you wanna help. Communication is key.

Write a note, e-mail...something. Don't worry about making it too long or anything, just MAKE SURE you write down the key points, and how you don't want her upset and so on...
If she gets mad...then oh well, she just can't appreciate people. Once again, don't worry about the length-it could be 10 pages long and be beyond worth it. Even if she completely ignores you or something, at least you know you tried to help somebody who really needs it. Why? Well, when you talk to somebody face-to-face, somebody will snap, there'll be yelling...maybe a few punches. Not to mention you'll never get all your points across.-With a note or something, you don't have to worry about any of that. :] Good luck. |

yeah definitely the note thing. but you need to talk to her, because a good friend points out your flaws when no one will. and she may not appreciate it right away, but eventually, hopefully, she'll see that you were trying to help her and were always there for her.
but before the note, maybe you could try the space thing, and see what kind of resonse you get... but then the response might be in person, which would have more confentation then problem solving, so umm, i suggest the note. |

I really wouldn't suggest the space thing. No offense or anything, but I don't see how that would work...other than most likely make things worse. >_<

you seem like a good friend to her, but she doesn't seem like a good friend to you.
i'd drop her. if she chases after you desperately and asks why, maybe she's ready to learn. until then, who knows? |
