Buy something that holds stronger than gel (like hairspray), or something that can be reshaped if it gets messed up (like hair wax).

I know friends that don't let me touch their hair. The best thing to do is buy the gel in the bucket and just try not to be too active.

If you really want it to last, use spiking glue.
http://mp.hairboutique.com/got2b-Glued-Sty...-style/P/106454

Or... if you just want to use Gel, just remember that the higher the number, the stronger the hold is. ( Dep 12 > Dep 6 if you catch my drift. )

I did mohawks for a lot of my guy friends. You just have to use glue (we used Elmers Galactic Glue, it's blue with glitter tongue.gif ) that way you can touch it and it doesn't mess up. The thickness of how it is cut also plays into the ability to stay.
Sometimes, you can even sleep in it.

I will have to PM you some of the pictures. I used to be SO GOOD at putting up mohawks.

You just... don't touch. It's really not that hard not to have your hand groping your hair. *shrug* I've never had a problem with it.

I think you can get gel or wax that's pretty flexible, so if your hair gets squished you can reshape it easily?

I guess I'm used to it, but it doesn't really feel all that different from not having gel/whatever in your hair. As for not touching it, just don't. Unless you touch your hair a lot then it shouldn't be a problem.

But, you can touch your hair if you use the glue and a hair dryer.

I promise you, it stays.

ya glue in hair is sick... its kinda like knox jello... taht stuff is wicked strong. it could stay 4 a week if u put like 4 packets to 1/3 cup water. put more than that & i dont wanna know

interesting thought for revenge, though. sneak into their house, bring like 16 pak knox jelly & 1/3 cup water. put it on their hair, mess it up like heck, let it dry makes me wanna try it! shifty.gif

Excuse me?
I am trying to help the kid out, he wants to put his hair up and keep it up. Glue will do that it doesn't look gross, it doesn't smell gross, and it washes out. And, I am a lady. I have no mohawk, I don't need to SHOW anyone how rebellious I am, because honestly I am not that rebellious. Also, How is my fact not attractive?

This is for you questioner

They used glue.

You want something like a fauxhawk?
Or, do you just want it to be spiky?

It depend a lot on the thickness of your hair, and how well it holds style. Some people can use a little and some people need a lot.

Doesn't glue, or ANY hair product that makes ur hair all sticky and dry, bad for ur hair?

Like, afterwards, you have to use conditioner for like a year to get your hair all sleek and soft again. I used to use gel, now I'm never using it again, because my hair is like all coarse and BLAH. No matter how many times I use conditioner.

I never had that effect, no. Those guys still have soft hair. I use gel sometimes and I still have really soft hair.

I guess it depends on your hair and stuff.

Um, thanks I guess?

Also, hairspray flakes on me. Maybe it won't on you though. I always style my hair while it's wet, so maybe that will help you too.
