Colbert/Colbert (kohl-bair/kawl-bert)

So it's been announced that Stephen Colbert was to announce whether or not he was thinking about running for president. This was announced on the Daily Show. He wanted to make the final decision on a more prestigious show. 15 minutes later, on the Colbert Report, he announced he was entering the South Carolina primary.

f**king John Edwards is trying to steal his platform, right after attacking Obama for stealing his!

Anyways, would you vote for Colbert? I know I would.

And I know this could belong in news, but f**k that this is more than news, imo.

Maybe not for president, but if he was a running mate with someone, I would vote for that guy. That way when the president gets killed and Colbert becomes president, I can say I didnt vote for him when he screws up and has China throwing bombs at us.

I'd vote for him too. I agree with Josh about his style. cool.gif

Plus, he's the 2nd most influential people on the Time POLLS (lmao second to Rain (Bi) ). Ahahah he's sining in Korean....

I'd probably watch the news more (well, more like ACTUALLY WATCH the news) if he did become President. :P

I probably would vote for him..I mean not only is he funny but he knows his stuff.

If he did win the popular vote.I'm sure the electoral college would rig it.

I'd love it if Jon Stewart ran, but I'm definitely voting for Stephen colbert.

I can't wait to finally be able to vote in something other than a city council election. I'll be almost 20 though :(

Yeah, but as Colbert is the one gettin' the ball rolling, it seems as if he'd be better suited for president, with Stewart as his VP.

I have a shirt that says "Jon Stewart for President 08."

I just think he's ... smarter. Colbert is smart in the comedic sense, but Stewart is just simply more intelligent.

I would totally vote for Colbert/Colbert in '08.

I think that Stephen Colbert is intelligent, but his character, Stephen Colbert, is not. Jon Stewart's show is Jon being himself, but the Colbert Report is all an act.

I have never watched his show, so I am not really into him I guess. So no, I wouldn't vote for him. I'd vote for someone who actually has a chance at winning.

If a party or candidate that isn't one of the main ones ends up getting a ton of votes, that ends up changing the platforms of the major parties bringing about changes that the people want. Voting for someone whose going to win is lame imo. Make a statement. If enough people do it, it will influence the democratic and republican platform.

William Jennings Bryan for instance.
