(Looks like the old thread is gone because I've searched all over and can't find it or it's just not coming up in the search.)

If you have any suggestions, compliments or complaints about the staff members, this is the place to do it.

Prevent yourself from bashing anyone because that doesn't get anywhere useful. thumbsup.gif

sandra should quit or be removed from the staff. she has no valid reasons for staying around and already knows she sucks as a mod.

^lol that really made me laugh.

Anyway I think the staff is doing good right now. A little questionable would be Sandra and Jane and their activity.

But other than that people are doing pretty good. flowers.gif I'd have to say staff is closer too _smile.gif

wow, that rumor is old news, sandra. try to keep up here. someone on this forum has already met her, so i hardly think going after that sucker-punch is going to do much but embarrass yourself.

anyway, im not bashing sandra. this is mod.perf. and shes already admitted that she shouldn't be on staff. her excuse for not leaving is that 4 people have quit and she doesnt want to get grouped up with the rest of them. who cares? just quit.

edit://
so now she states her reason for not leaving is to spite me.

gj.

JESUS f**k. Stop stop stop. Trish, I don't care if you faked the story or not. I simply called you twin COS you said you were a twin. It's like saying 'hunnie' or 'darling'. I only used 'twin' at you in that way once and I don't intend on doing it again.
I was completely innocent this time.

I apologize if I offended you or anything.

f**k. Everyone is taking everything out of context today. Even at school!!

Edit// not to spite you but to prove to you that I am capable of not sucking.

Maaann ...

I'm sweating.

sandra, just wondering, have i called you any names? have i actually been really harrassing you? no. i'm questions your capability to do a job. you're not exactly proving me wrong. you're not even really defending yourself. you're just arguing with me. that's not really helping your case.

I assume everything. And I hope you'll finally see that I can do better.

If you agree with Trish, that you are a bad staff member, just quit then. You don't want to quit because you don't want to go down in cB history as part of the famous fab four mods who quit? That is a really stupid reason imo. You aren't doing anyone any good by staying on the staff. There are many others here, that qaulify, and would do 10 times better than you.

As much as I agree with you Josh, theres something else about it. I mean what happens when we have a team of 8 or more other people and their all working hard on the website then one person and that one person gets to stay on staff and get recognized more than just a normal member because their on staff.

I have to say when I'm doing something to keep my "status" and someone else isn't doing their end of the deal. I bring it up. I don't want to get the shaft for something as simple as this website.

i think the real issue is that there may be others more qualified and available for the job. you go through this tiring hiring process and so many qualified people get rejected. and then one person who did get hired is no where to be found.

As its been brought up before; look at the last hiring we had. It was like a big waste of time o_O I think only like 3 people stayed from the last hiring?

woah 3 people stayed out of the 12 that were hired!

Fine, I suppose. You do have a very valid point Josh, but as I said. Everyone likes equality and to be able to see everyone. Activity is something that is looked at because when they were hired in the hiring sessions they agree to being active, and if they didn't have time for createblog then they didn't need to put in a application. _smile.gif

Shouldn't there be a list of all current moderators?

Also I'd like to say Holly and Mona have been doing a very good job. For Holly, She's been extremely active and she is contributing a lot. For Mona, She's been doing a great job on getting the forums back to normal.

For the rest of the staff, to be honest I haven't really seen any activity from the rest of the staff. Just seems to be Holly and Mona.

Rachael goes away for extended periods and does very little while shes not absent, then gets mad at others when they critique her. She then makes up excuses or accuses others of stupid things like hating her etc. Rachael =/= good staff member.

Historically there's been several times when a mod hasn't responded or has responded but basically biting back, so-to-speak.

I think it depends on whether or not the person giving feedback wants a response. Part of the debate of this thread was whether or not people felt comfortable giving feedback, for fear of staff lashback. It seems though that the current staff isn't like that so hopefully people will continue to feel comfortable giving feedback here.

I think if it's a specific feedback someone wants a response to, they could PM the staff member directly. Although staff really should be looking at this thread on a regular basis (and should at least acknowledge the feedback). I remember coming here first or second after logging on.

Best thing is to be direct and point people out specifically. That way if they don't at least acknowledge feedback here, Mona and/or Holly can maybe have a little word or something.

Best thing is to be direct and point people out specifically. That way if they don't at least acknowledge feedback here, Mona and/or Holly can maybe have a little word or something.

Have a little word in here or direct contact with the staff member in question?

When's lately? Jane's here but she just hasn't been posting as much. She knows about her inactivity and she said she will work on it. So I'd give her another week. I spoke to her exactly a week ago (and other staff members have acknowledged it too) and I usually monitor someone for 2 weeks.

And when you are here, what do you do? Close topics? Thats all i ever see you do. Even SinfullySweet helps out more in the design section than you. If you aren't going to do your job well enough, I think you should step down, and let others who are more well deserve, take your place. Kthxbai.

That's right. It doesn't matter if Jane goes inactive. She's hot, and that's all that matters.

LOL I was in mom mode ("have a little word"). Basically PM them to see what's up or point out that they have some feedback here. XD That's all I meant. =)

laugh.gif I love that "mom mode" XD

Anyway I think anyone that gets positive or negative critique should at least post so people know that they actually acknowledge their post, ya know? shrug.gif I mean if it is negative I think at times Staff members can feel a little taken back from it all and don't want to reply instantly because sometimes people get upset, so give them a few days before any posts I would suggest _smile.gif

No my point really is that the staff (except you [Holly] and Mona) haven't really been active. Some of em` I haven't seen at all until today, once I brought it up.

Kudos to Dee for taking criticism and badgering and maintaining a calm attitude.

Rachael, however, only seems to show up when something negative is being said about her, and when she shows up she's very defensive and seems very closed to criticism. Also as Tung has said, there are others who are much more helpful, and they aren't even hired to do that. Rachael should shape up or ship out.

I wouldn't exactly call it defensive, but the post with 15 smilies make it seem like you're trying to play it off, and also make it seem like you're oblivious to what you're doing. It seems like you don't think you're doing anything wrong, but you're trying to be "nice", even though you could care less about the feedback.

LOL regarding smilies. I remember Suzzete saying something like she used smilies to make sure that she wasn't misinterpreted when certain folks were taking things the wrong way.

There's just more power and respect in what you say than what you think you may convey by add some emotes.

yea agreed, and also in what u do
if u just come here and do the job that u signed up for, then u don't have to even mess with all this being accused of being defensive, putting too many smilies or bla bla bla whatever. otherwise just step down and let others who have time to do the job do it. that's my opinion at least, not just to rachael but any staff member in general who's criticized for not being active enough.

most of us are in school, ect. if ur busy ur busy, that's understandable. i don't get the point though in keeping a staff position and putting that much more stuff on ur shoulders to mess with if u really don't have time for it. it just seems like it would be better for everyone involved in those people would just step down.

so yeah, i agree with steven i suppose, shape up or ship out.

i add smilies to be sarcastic. a lot of people do, because theyre so ridiculous. i think people should keep that in mind. not everyone is being nice when theyre using the smilies.

on a side note,
there are a lot of things that design staff can do that regular members cant really see. if theyre in the queue all day, you can only see that by going through every new layout/graphic/script to see who approved it. so telling them that all they do is close topics when they know that theyve been active elsewhere, is a bit unneccessary.

^^
I have to agree on that one. They are design staff after all. *shrug* But thats just my 2 cents.

And as for the smilies, I agree on sometimes they are a good little additive just to make sure things don't get across in the wrong way, as long as they aren't overdone.

OK I'm just going to put my 2 cents in... as trish previously said most of DS work in behind the scenes so if you really want to see their full activity check the # of layouts graphics scripts ect. they have moderated. In my opinion the last two days Rachael was been doing an awesome job she is constantly in the queue and her activity has been up. Hopefully this won't just be a two day thing. thumbsup.gif

Hopefully not. I might add, I was on staff guys. Because I was on staff I should be respected. I know how things go down on staff. I was once myspacepeople staff. I know how staff works. I was on staff, don't forget that I was on staff.

Regardless of my compulsive need to tell y'all about how I was on staff, Rachael's activity is a recent thing to the best of my knowledge. She was questioned plenty backstage as well, and I remember she didn't seem to be too active in the queue. This may be in part because of Holly and Mike completely owning it up, but who knows.

So yep, sorry.

So this week Mike and Rachael have been doing a great job. Haven't really seen Mark shrug.gif Could just be me but who knows?
