I have issue with letting go. I can't seem to let go of something/one I've grown attached to.

I can't seem to let go of the fact that my parents will never come back together. I can't let go of Joseph. I can't let go of my old school bag. I can't let go of my old novels. I can't let go of some of my old underwears. pinch.gif

This woman came on Oprah and she hadn't thrown out her underwear even though it was 20+ years old. Don't know if I would believe that but people do some very weird things.

I'm a pack rat. I can't throw away certain stuff of mine if I've had it for a long time.

You're like my sister. She gets attached to everything. It's kind of annoying sometimes. =_=

Oh yeah, was that the episode with the woman who kept her pillows for over 30 years?

shrug.gif I just saw my mom watching it.

I really understand what you are saying.
I kept EVERYTHING that reminded me of ANY good memory.
Then, one day, we had to move. I had only several hours to get everything I needed, so I had to leave a lot of things that were special to me behind. Sometimes I feel sad, but it teaches you that material things are not important.

More than anything I miss "home" with my "family". I moved in with my fiance almost 2 years ago, and I miss the bond my sisters and I had, or the bond I had with my mom. I know they still love me, but we all used to be friends and we aren't really anymore.

I didn't mean to give such a long winded answer. Sorry whistling.gif

I don't have that problem. Anything I haven't used within about six months to a year will get the boot whenever I next spring clean.

This reminds me of that episode of The Wayan Bros. when pops was trying to sell their house that had so many memories in it.

I usually like to keep things, but my mom usually ends up throwing them out anyway.

Yeah, I do that sometimes. (Especially with my stuffed animals.) The only thing I can give away are old clothes that don't fit me. sad.gif And then some...I guess thats why my house is so messy. I haven't thrown anything out.

I can be a pack rat too. I just don't like throwing stuff out. Eh, I need to get over it. xD Usually I end up throwing it away after long periods of time. But nothing like 20 years. That's just crazy.

Oh, me too. I have folders and folders of papers that I tell myself might be useful "someday".

For the most part, I rly can't let go of like, stuff in general unless I'm feeling particularly purgeful and minimalistic and I go all MUST THROW AWAY STUFFFFF.

I know exactly what you mean, it sucks a lot. sad.gif
I almost had to 'let go' of a relationship last night. But I just couldn't, the other person didn't seem to have any problem letting go of me.
So it was up to me to save the relationship. It wasn't fun.

But if its not a person, usually I don't have trouble letting go.

^Awe I remember having one of those and it was the holographic ones or whatever the hell they were called and my sister had an obsession with fire and burned it pinch.gif it was so pretty too.

And Josh I was wondering the same thing, I don't know who she is talking about.

I suppose I have something I don't like to let go or regret later but to look back on things and keep your mind on them is a waste of time so look at the stuff in front of you.

I'm usually pretty good at letting go.
