FROG!

Isn't that so cool? My brother adopted three frogs from his fourth grade class, and two (OR THREE?) of them were getting "busy". We were cleaning out the tank today, when we noticed one was abnormally HUMONGOUS compared to the other two. It's stomach was about twice the size of the others... haha.

Frog sex. We're gonna have so many baby tadpoles! Yay! ^_^

So... have your pets ever been pregnant? Keke.

HAHA COOL. tadpoles! I remember me & my friend caught tadpoles during our camping trip in Yosemite and we brought them home. They grew with legs but they weren't like those big frogs.

None of my pets never been pregnant. lol. (x

We had a pregnant hamster when I was younger, some beta fishies, and dogs. We use to breed rat terriers a while ago but haven't in a while. We have to many dogs currently.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't it when frogs get frisky the female releases eggs for the males into the water? The males then uh, spread their seeds onto them? I didn't think there was any 'incubation' time for frogs. Unless the female is simply swollen with eggs that have yet to be fertilised?

Aw man, well... hmm... I have no idea how reproduction works for frogs. shrug*

My hamsters had babies once when I was like five. They have green eyelids and were all standing up and squirming around when I saw them, so I thought someone's hand (with green nail polish) was reaching up into my hamsters' cage and trying to steal them from beneath the floor.

When I was little we got two hamsters...and kept them in the same cage. So a few months later...we had lots of little hamsters. Then before we had time to give them all away, the little hamsters had hamsters and oh my god we had SO many. We ended up giving them all to the pet shop.

Wiki-Wiki:

"The life cycle of a frog starts with an egg. A female generally lays frogspawn, or egg masses containing thousands of eggs, in water."

"Fertilization is external: the egg and sperm meet outside of the body. The female releases her eggs, which the male frog covers with a sperm solution."

We think my sister's fire-bellied toad was pregnant when we first bought it, but it's thinned out so it may have given birth without us knowing and the eggs may have gotten sucked into the filter.. _unsure.gif

I don't think I've had a pregnant pet.

One of my friend's white mice had babies though. And they ate some of their babies too.. they weren't starving or anything because there was plenty of food, but yeah. still weird. =\

The frogs in our pond get the horn every spring/summer time. You can hear the 'ribbets' from my bedroom with the doors and windows closed XD

My goldfish had babies which I hatched, but unfortunately only one made it and he died a few weeks later :(

My pet hamsters got busy three times and all three times the babies turned into food for the daddy.

So yeah, we gave them back because my brother would start crying everytime his hamster ate the babies.

Could you not have moved Cannibal Daddy to a separate cage?

A friend of mine kept rabbits which used to eat their babies regularly. Ick.

my boyfriend is tragically terrified by frogs/toads.
to hear that one is pregnant would set him off just knowing that there are more being brought into this world. lol.
but, my boyfriend bought us a second dog to breed when shes old enough.
i cannot wait to see the puppies. lol

i think i had about 20 guinea pigs because they wouldn't quit making babies. we literally had grandmas and great-grandmas.

we started out with one curly-haired guinea pig, and then a friend gave us a male curly-haired guinea pig... then they had babies, and we had two more curly-haired guinea pigs and one straight-haired one... then the straight-haired one was the dude and it got one of its sisters pregnant, then we had three more curly and another straight-haired, and i don't remember if they were curly or straight after that, lol.

BOGUS.
