I saw a louise brooks photo of her sitting behind a wall with wallpaper. so i thought i could make it interesting and use it as a layout. but i don't have photoshop, so i have to work for hours to just make the picutre. i know it would've been better with photoshop, but please forgive me, i tried.

im still messing around with font colours and stuff, so if there are any ideas, you're welcome to help.

The horizontal scrollbar on the content looks really bad. ermm.gif
I think you need to modify the content box's div and remove that horizontal scroll bar. The background image looks good.

Where is everything mellow.gif

I think the chick sitting just looks out of place, there isn't really much on there that matches or shows a real theme on why she should be there except the one line "diary of a lost girl".

The background image I don't think really matches for the theme either, also it looks like you resized that original pattern to a smaller more low quality image which I suggest trying to find the full version and using it and it will look a lot better _smile.gif

Well other than that there isn't really much more xD, just try and add more content, maybe add some more graphics or brushes around the girl to give it some more attention so it doesn't look like its just sitting in the middle of no where and try finding a better quality background image because thats one big issue from the looks of it is the quality of the images.

Good luck, your at a great start _smile.gif

I really like the pattern... I was so excited to see faith no more on there. They are so good. Mike Patton is so talented. They are the best kept secret.

I like the pattern but I think you could of position her beside the content area instead at the bottom. In Firefox everything is position at the left so you could of put her at the right. It looks pretty good considering you didn't use Photoshop, for a beginner I suggest you learn on Paintshop pro first or Gimp (just to get a clear understanding of using a graphic programs and learning the tools, because Photoshop is really complex), which is a free graphic program(gimp) and you can go download it here
