I work this stupid ******* babysitting job for 11 ******* hours a day and I ******* hate it.

It's a mother's helper job and I'm helping a lady recover after giving birth while taking care of her 2 year old daughter and her newborn occasionally. So basically all day long I sit in this chair and do my home school, which is over HOURS before work is over so I'm left there sitting just doodling on a notepad for hours and sometimes getting up to change a diaper or whatever. that's all she wants me to do.

THE DAY GOES BY SO SLOW!!!! I can't stand it, it's only my 2nd day and I have almost 2 weeks left!!

What can I do to make the time go by faster?! Don't tell me to read, write or listen to music, I want some creative ideas for one person to do all day in a stupid ******* chair.

thank you very much. (:

Bring along games or some movie. I'm sure she has a t.v at her house. Over the summer I had to work with 3 year olds and it wasn't bad. I found it pretty fun playing with them.

You could make then little brats go to bed and then take a nap yourself and then you could watch a nice movie an then go back to bed.

How does that sound?

knit? XD.gif Haha, I actually like knitting, when you get the hang of it, making things is kind of cool. But I guesss that might not be all that safe around little kids because of the sharp needles... but if grandmas do it, then why can't you, haha, and they aren’t all that sharp.

Do arts and crafts with them!! I love coloring with little kids. And paint!!! Or bring play dough. :] Little kids have it so good, haha.

Seriously though, man, that job sounds like a dream come true compared to the babysitting job I had once. I was babysitting with my friend [thank god, this kid was terrible!!] and the kid was seriously a perv. He was around five years old and was like “LET’S PLAY THE TITTY GAME!!!” And started to grab our chests. Then he went insane and ran into the kitchen and got out a steak knife and came at us with it. The mother was mortified with her son. All she could say was, “Oh no! Not the titty game again, I told him we couldn’t play that anymore!” Soo never babysat for them again...

i love babysitting and working with young children. i find the day goes by faster when you plan ahead. make a schedule of what you and the 2 year old can do. a lot of two year olds like those interactive shows like Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, etc. The Backyardigans have great music. watch a show like that and do a little lesson and/or color sheet that goes with it. choose a letter, color, and an object and make the day about those things. make sure you plan for naptime, washing hands, diaper changing, lunch & snack time. there's an opportunity to teach the toddler something while doing all or most of those things. good luck.
