how do i get the corners of the pics rounded?

Use the autoshapes tool and choose the Rounded Rectangle Tool.



Change the radius in the toolbar. This will make the corners more round or square.

Then you can insert the photo into the rounded rectangle by placing the photo layer on top of the rectangle. Left click over the area between the two layers with the alt button down. You should see a downward pointing arrow on the photo. If you don't understand, read this tutorial on clipping masks.
