Yeah usually works that way. Gravity, life situations, you name it. Everything has its peak and downfall.

LMAO. PSSSSH, I'm saying that to my teacher when he tries to get my essay. xD

And if we're speaking in strictly technical terms, what goes up is bound to go down eventually because of that silly thing called gravity, but do you mean like, as far as positions go? Hm, maybe not aaaaall the way down, but the plot line of life never goes up all the time.

(Plot line of life? PLOT LINE OF LIFE? I've gotten cheesier. Lame.)

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It's hard to believe in things like karma when babies and innocent children die, but things like rapists and murderers evade jail or get out only serving a few years.

They go back into Earth years later. Nothing stays in orbit forever. Even the moon is slowly getting closer to the Earth.

QUOTE(brownsugar @ Aug 25 2007, 05:31 AM) *
Why is it important if it hardly ever happens? It happening once is significant, and it happens a lot more than that. Do you know how many stillborn babies there are, or how many murderers that walk free or get paroled after 10 years?

It's an example of bad karma happening to innocent people, or good karma happening to people that don't deserve it. It doesn't matter how frequently it happens--her answer in this thread was "sometimes". So bringing up even one example would be significant enough to support what she was saying. She doesn't need to research, and I didn't see her assuming anything.

If its 'sometimes', then you can't believe in the quote. The quote says "must come down".

Besides that, if that is true, wouldn't the opposite be true? Does that mean that what goes down must come up?

Gravity and stocks and moods are all completely different, and karma is a nonexistent ideal created to desensitize believers to tragic events. You can't sum up a pattern of life with one sentence, because there are many different patterns completely unrelated to each other. Life outside of your control is completely random and unpredictable, and because of that, I believe that the quote doesn't have an ounce of truth in it.
