Just Opened a Design Site, The layout is kinda weird... what do you think? Options

I made this layout tonight and I was like...it's not really professional (to me), but what to you think?

hm, only thing I would suggest would be a different font for that red text; other than that, everything else looks fine to me!

oh, and the alignment of the text is also a bit weird

I think its nice..

Although it says high quality design but the main image is really pixely or too sharp in places..around almost all the text...I just think it should be really clean and smooth. I like the little windows that open except when you look at the previews of what the websites actually look like and to view them you have to move around the bars on the scrollbars to see it completely because you can't make the window any bigger.

Maybe fix those minor things.

Although I think its somewhat professional looking. The orb makes me think of logo designs


oh oh oh I think it would be nice if you had it completely centered. Left to right and up and down wise. Just smack dab in the middle.

I love the red button, I wish I could push it. Everything looks crisp and clean to me, but I think you should use a different font for the red links.

Just to add on to what I've said previously:
I think the font that you choose to use for the red links, I think it should be somewhat professional (if that's the style you were going for), and conservative. I say use anything EXCEPT Times New Roman, or Arial, or Century Gothic.

on the index page, I made a pizel fonts 72 and if thats what your talking about... I actually kinda like that part, it's kinda a tech-ish look i think...

it is up and running it's just not one of those design sites that you have PAGES and PAGES, mine is simple

But yes, I agree with pretty much everything everyone else said. Change the red links, center the whole thing, yes.

But I really like it. It's simple, and I like simple. =]


Oh! Also, I think you spelled a few things wrong in your "rules" section. Run it through spellcheck. ;]

I like the whole look you was going for but I have one more complaint about the font. Try Trebuchet ms, Sans serif or Tahoma(I recommend). Yes the small font is cute but very hard on the eyes, up your font around size 12px, if you love the small font, try small font around the size 7px but I don't recommend it. Put some examples on your site of every packages you offer and tell your visitors your capabilities and what you can do other than website layouts, what else? Can you do banners? Have an bio section telling about your whole experience on webdesign. But your sites new so I give you a break.

the newer version is better. I think you should take out the red text on top of the big grey.

I think I am going to get a better layout - and more fetures and things... we'll see. If anything pops up in my mind - Ill be SURE to post it, but still people, what do you think about the new one?
