Awkward situations happen to me WAY too often..
Like the conversation just totally dies out & I'll say something random and ignore the fact there was a silence I say an old joke me and my friends have, they just don't laugh & Then I'll say "okay so its not funny anymore" dramatically. They usually laugh. Someone says something so weird and wrong for the conversations direction & I laugh and say "okay..." and change the subject so they dont feel idiotic. |

When I get awkward usually I'd say something along the lines of "well, this isn't awkward at all" and the other person would laugh and be like "yeah"

If it's online or on the phone, I'll usually just start saying random stuff; what I say depends on who I'm talking to. If it's in person I'll usually laugh a little with a friend and say AWKWARD, but if it's someone I don't know I'm usually always quiet so I'd probably just stop talking and try to get away from them as soon as possible.
