I'm going to cut my hair and donate it to Locks of Love...

Does anyone know where I can find out about participating salons in my area?

I live in Little Elm, Tx... but anywhere as far as Dallas is ok..

_smile.gif thanks

You can send it in yourself I think and btw, most salons participate in it. You just have to tell your stylist. PS, the L.O.L. website will probably be a much better resource than cB...

HOW TO DONATE

* 10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.
* Hair must be in a ponytail or braid before it is cut.
* Hair must be clean and completely dry before it is mailed in.
* Place the ponytail or braid inside of a plastic bag, and then inside of a padded envelope.
* Fill out the hair donation form, or write your name and address on a separate sheet of paper and include inside the envelope.
* All hair donations must be mailed to Locks of Love at:

2925 10th Avenue N
Suite 102
Lake Worth, FL 33461-3099
* Please be sure to use the entire zip code when mailing. Thank you!

i've donated before..10+ inches last time i got a haircut? cruel time of my life and i ended up hating the cut..sigh

That's cool, I would donate too but I have short hair. How long is your hair?

I've donated before, and it's best to just mail in it yourself. That way you can send in a Before & After picture. _smile.gif

If you don't want to bother with that, I'm sure you could just take out the Yellow Pages and call the salon and ask if they'll do it.

I wanted to donate to Locks of Love too but my local salons don't participate in that (well...I live in an area with the majority of Asian shops). My hair is wayyy too short to be donated. How do I donate my hair if I have less than 10 inches of hair to begin with? Haha.

I've donated 16 inches before. But yeah, just follow the directions that doiink posted and send it in yourself.
