I used to swim a lot when I was a kid.
Now not so much anymore, but I've been meaning to start it again.

Yeah, it's a very good exercise because all your muscles are working together to move you against the water.
Great for breathing and your whole body particularly the legs and the arms.
You should definitely keep swimming.

I would rather swim than do anyother kind of cardio workout thumbsup.gif You dont have to sweat, swimming is fun. Besides, would you really want to run this time of the year, when you could be in the pool "excercising?" eyebrowes.gif

I lift alot of weight and swim for cardio and fine toning my muscles. And let me say it really works. Before i started i only weighed 112 pounds *im 5'7 and 18 now, yes i am short* But after lifting weights and swimming to broaden my shoulders and tone my muscles I weigh now about 155-160. And this is about after 6 months of training. So it is a great work out I suggest you do it if you want to tone muscles, get bigger shoulders and improve on your cardio.

I have a pool in my backyard and basically everyday it's a hot day I swim. I loose weight and It hurts doing the doggy paddle back and forth. It hurt my arms and thighs. It's fun too.
The flaw is that I get darker and darker.
