Don't you hate it when you already opened something or got something done and it turns out that you don't have enough money to pay for it? What do you do in times like that?

For me, I always have to come back later and give them that extra dollar. mellow.gif

Like if you were at a restuarant and in the end you didn't have enough to pay.

That's actually never happened to me and I hope it doesn't. That would be sort of embarrassing.

Oh yes, but that has happened in my presence though. It happened to my friend, but I ended up giving him the extra money it was me and my girlfriend and he and his girlfriend.

I once did that at B&N and I just stood there awkwardly flipping through my wallet and trying to find that extra cash. Turned out I had extra cash in my pockets!

I avoid doing that. I always check how much money I have with me. Recently though, my mom and I were buying 3 pairs of summer shoes from Aldo and there was a summer sale going on with a lot of customers. My mom had the lady charge each pair separately so that with the change we get back, we could buy them all. The cashier was annoyed. laugh.gif

Never happened to me, I tend to make sure I have enough before I do anything. Yesterday I was pisssed though. This lady picked up and unwrapped/oppened 250$ worth of merchandise. We rang her up. Then she decides it was too much for her to spend. We had to void all the items and she decied to only get 50$ worth. We spent the night repacking all the titmes and re-placing tags on them.

People need to check how much you want to spend.

^That sucks :(
I only worked retail for about 6 months lol, then decided that I hated it -.- I was the one that had to re-stock items and re-tag things when someone decided they didn't want it anymore :(

I feel like a complete idiot if I dont have enough money to pay for something.
So whenever I buy something I make sure I have more then enough money to pay for it.

How do you run away slowly lmbo.

Its happened to me but only by a few cents. Nothing drastic like 20$, so the person behind me (in line) would always give me the money or the cashier would just tell me not to worry. biggrin.gif

Same here!!

Every month, our library holds a sale where they sell donated books at ridiculously cheap prices (I'm talkin' like 10 cents for a paperback) and I go a lot. It's super fun. Once, I was short by 10 cents once I got to the cashier, so I put on my helpless puppy face and was like "Does anyone have 10 cents?" and a bunch of old ladies started digging in their purses to give me money.

If I was in the restaurant situation ... omg I don't know what I'd do.

Random but I used to work at a toy store and we constantly had kids coming up to buy little things like 50 cent bouncy balls and all they had was a dime and nickel or something. Actually sort of cute.

Never ever happened to me, bwahaha. If that happens I just say, "MOMMY! DADDY!" I always carry more money than I plan on spending usually so I'm fine. One of my math teachers was missing a penny once and they wouldn't let her go. rofl1.gif

I don't think that's ever happened to me, or if it has, I borrow money from someone. I'm careful to make sure that doesn't happen...mind you, I now have a Visa, so its hard to have that problem, haha...

That never happens to me in restaraunts because I always make sure I have enough before I order. But if I'm at the store and I don't have enough money to pay for something, I just borrow money from whatever person I happen to be with at the moment.
