So my boy friend and i have been going out for about 10 months. We havent kissed yet. When my friends would ask...of course i said no. then they say that we are crazy and that we are weird...stuff like that. I dont think that there is anything wrong with it. The questions I really need answered are: You can still have a relationship with out kissing right? Are we weird because we havent? and anything else you wanna add...THANKS!!!

kissing, holding hands, etc. doesn't define a relationship in my opinion. So based on that, no, you guys aren't weird. It's the fact that you guys "like " (or love) each other, right?

It isn't weird at all! I applaud you for waiting that long!
I waited a while too with my boyfriend, but it was 6 months. You are my hero, and you should cherish the direction that your relationship is going without the need for that kind of physical affection. |

ohh wow 10 months. i guess if one of you guys really wanted to it would've happened already right? well. how old are you two? just wondering because younger teens are probably more shy about that stuff.
well it doesn't matter at all. if you two are happy with eachother then good for the both of you. it just tells you that your relationship isn't based on lust. |

And trust me, it's better to keep your relationship healthy the way you have it right now. I will admit though, kissing isn't so bad, but it can easily lead to things you might regret later. I've met people who have been dating for a couple years and haven't even kissed yet.
One option is that he's either scared, or he see's you more as a friend. I don't know. I had a relationship like that. Is he timid and shy, or no? If so, just kiss him. Let him know you're interested. |

Your relationship is your own, not anyone else's. Do what you want, after all, it worked for 10 months already right? Kiss when you're ready to kiss. Hold hands when you're ready to hold hands.
Trust me when I tell you this. There are plenty of people who kiss on the first date or have sex on the first date and have not lasted as long as you have with this guy. When your friends ask you the next time, just smile and say "I don't kiss and tell". Better yet, tell them the truth and remind them that it's worked fine for you so far. Good luck! |

i'm not going to lie...i do think that's strange.
i know that personally, if i was dating someone...and they didnt feel physically attracted to me..then i'd think we should call ourselves friends...not boyfriend and girlfriend. i know i know...its not all about the physical aspect...but something as basic as kissing i would assume would happen at least once during a 10 month span

Yes you can still have a great relationship without kissing. I think it would make your relationship stonger seeing that you two havent had anything sexual yet (kissing/touching etc.) and no, you are not weird.
I do think its a little strange though because alot of people kiss when they are dating. |

why not? that sounds fine - though i'm sure i wouldn't be able to last that long since i can be really forward.
one couple i know (that are just post-college age) waited until their wedding for their first kiss. they're great together and they're great people. they're actually counselors... but they set an example for the other teens at church and a lot of the teens are trying to follow that now. |

Well I think that if you two have gone that long without kissing and don't feel the need to or whatever it's fine if you don't. Don't listen to other people. That kinda thing isn't what makes a relationship. It's the fact that you love, like or whatever each other lol. But don't feel bad if you haven't done it, I for one admire you for it. I know I'm not strong enough to not kiss my boyfriend at all.

My bf and I were going out for two weeks before we kissed but its not all of our relationship
My friends are suprised we haven't done anymore But when you honestly love someone you don't need the physical, just each other Kiss when your ready, not cos of pressure |
