I find this baby bird on Dell parking lot. It can't fly. There are several dead bird around it that had been crush by car. I almost hit it too. I got out of my car and put the bird on the grass area and 3 hours later it still stand in that one spot I put him in. So I brought it home. I know that it will die....but I can't do anything about it.

I hate to say this, but is it in pain? Is it making a lot of noise? Maybe you should put it out of its misery. Or find a spot where it can die peacefully.

I've never killed an animal... nor have I ever been in the situation you're in.
I'm sorry.

Situation sucks, I hate when that happens to pets/animals. Putting it out of it's misery is usually a good option. I'm curious as to why you have your drivers license there though?

I dont think I could really ever put a animal out of its misery nor could i let it suffer...

Which makes no sense because what else is their to do.Unless you go take it to the vet and they take care of it or put it to sleep i suppose

But the vet costs a lot. Honestly, the best way I've seen that's practical is using a shover and a LOT of force to do it in one blow (take off the head that is) It sounds nasty but meh.

I'm not talking about birds. too hard to get the right spot. Plus I like dogs more than other animals, so I'd spend a few extra bucks to have them done in a more humane manner -.-

I'm not sure why this is in Entertainment. I'm going to go ahead and move it to The Lounge.

Please PM me if you think it should be moved back.

Poor bird. :[

I would hate to be in the situation.
If I were you I would just take it to the vet and have them put it to sleep.
It shouldn't cost that much.

Actually, depending on the kind of bird, there are certain shelters that take birds like that and release them into the wild and it doesn't cost you anything for them to take it. We have one here, and every year a purple martin baby falls out of its nest and is neglected by the other birds, so we take it to this one shelter where they nurse it back to health and have it learn to find food on its own then release it into the wild.

That sucks. Poor bird :(
Has it been doing better like walking and not making much noice?
The best thing to do is to go give it to a humane society. Thats what me and my mom did when we found a bird with a broken wing. IT didnt cost us anything. Im not sure what they did but they would probably try to help the bird you have or they would put it to sleep.

I really don't think there's anything for you to do now, but just try to keep it comfortable and let mother nature do her thing. sad.gif

You can bring it to a place where they nurse wild animals back to health. I'm not sure what it's called, but Steven and I have done it three times. Unfortunately, the most recent one died while we were at dinner (it was too late to bring it to the shelter, so we put it into a shoe box with a rag and some water to last it through the night).

It will die eventually, and I wouldn't let it suffer either.
