I personally find that this particular collection doesn't stand up the the "Ann D" that I have followed for the last year or so. It's a bit off, but it's not essentially horrible. Maybe it's the oddly added twist of orange hidden, or rather, enveloped in some of the designs, but it's just not working as well for me as F/W 2007 and S/S 2007.

Comments, Critiques ? :]

You can't keep running from what you're trying to find.

hmm I've never followed this designer. I don't really like all the bagginess and funny lengths... But there are certain pieces (mostly the beginning blazers) that could be worn separately and really work nicely.

I like that striped cardigan. A girl could wear it possibly? lol

I don't really like the design, but the second to last one is okay.

Interesting. I could never see people wearing it outside the runway, though.

Follow up to robbotic:

The aesthetic is much more of an artistic appeal rather than a day-to-day "casual" appeal. If you're looking for a men's [fitted] suit-and-tie collection, which is considered a formal norm in our society, there are a good chunk of high designers that actually DO work with such designs in nearly every collection. Added onto, I'm sure that there are people that would wear it on the "street" (hence the followers of the particular designer).
Lastly, what would fashion be without a conscious effort by a designer to express his/her mental motif, such as physical artists do in their works? The goal of fashion designers is not to inspire clothing that's standard to your applicable modern cultural aestate. That's what your Urban Outfitters, or in a more "casual" sense, Target, down the street does.

And to the first comment... I think that many of these pieces work for girls as well. :p
