I want to start taking eather drum or electric guitar lessons but im not sure what one yet. Im leaning more towards drums because it looks alot more fun once you know what your doing. Any Suggestions? Tips or tricks? What do you think I should take?

Depending on where you're going to take lessons, you should be able to try them both out. You might find out that you enjoy playing one more than the other, or that one comes to you better than the other (since they are really different). Have you tried talking to someone where you're planning on lessons about maybe trying them out a bit before offically signing up for a class?

I'd definitely have to say Guitar because in my opinion, it's 10 times better than the Drums.

I say drums!
Because I've always wanted to learn how.
I agree with you, drums look like you can have more fun once you know how. thumbsup.gif

Well, I play bass guitar. And it can be fun! But, sometimes I wish I knew how to play drums because it looks really awesome! Ehhh, I don;t think I helped much. sweating.gif I think you should try both and see which one you lean most to.

Depends on your taste and budget I guess. If your cheap, go for the guitar. Cause a decent 5 piece drum set cost about 300 bucks. Might as well get a good amp, guitar, and tuner for 200. I play the bass guitar so I'd suggest that to you. Simple, calming, and damn fun.

You have to try playing both for yourself.

I wouldn't start investing all this time and dedication to something that only looks fun, or something like that. I'd have to see for myself. Try out your friends' guitars or drums. Or at least, somehow get your hands on a guitar or drum and be able to try them out for a while.

Harmonica isn't fun for everyone.

There's a reason why there are both drummers and guitar players in the world - not everyone likes the same thing. Drummers enjoy what they do just as much as guitar players do, so there's no real way to tell you which choice you'd be happier with. As many people have suggested, I'd seriously test out both before deciding what you want to do. A good way to get an idea of the work involved is to check out instructional videos for both drums and guitar. You can also test out the instruments in a music store if you ask, so try that as well before making a big investment. Overall, if you think drums would be more fun, go for it, just don't take everyone else's word for it - what they think is fun isn't always what you think is fun.
