i'd say that vintage music ranges from the 20's - 70's. 80's is retro.

what are your favorite decades?
bands?
albums?
songs?

my favorite decade is the 70's, hands-down. my favorite band is electric light orchestra (ELO). but i also like fleetwood mac, pink floyd, heart, kansas, and rush.

oh and this is just my VINTAGE musical tastes. i like modern stuff too. x)

Hmm, I enjoy ELO and Pink Floyd as well. I also like the Supremes and most def. the Beatles (though they are probably timeless, haha)

Never heard of it referred to as "vintage" music. But, um, Depeche Mode, The Ramones, The Clash, AC/DC, The Cure, Dead or Alive, New Order, Blondie and yeah....

Frankie Valli(e?)
Petula Clark
The Beatles
The Foundations!!!<33
The Supremes
The Temptations

Ooh good bands.

I love Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Presley.

If "vintage music" includes classic rock, I have waaay too many to name. wacko.gif

One of my mom's high school friend's mom dated billy joel! (i'm pretty sure)
So, that is as in ALLENTOWN. I've been to that city so many times and it's cool knowing someone wrote a song about it!

haha

Yeah the Beatles are great!

You'd probably like some British Invasion bands if you like the Beatles...they were very influencial, as you know...so the sound definately...was THERE. Paul even wrote a song for Jane Asher's (his once-fiance pre Linda) brother who was half of Peter & Gordan called "Woman". You can really imagine Paul singing it. I think that may have been their biggest hit haha. Actually, I don't know. haha.
